Mets have hit the toughest part of their schedule and it's beginning to show. Have lost 5 of their last 6.

Mets are cooling off and their average offense is beginning to show. They need another bat. Badly. Tejada might help a little.

Jason Bay is just awful. They need to eat that contract next year. He's making George Foster look good.

fenway i think made him look alot better than he really his. People talk about how yankee stadium is a hitters dream park but i think fenway is an even better place to hit. a fly ball to left field is practically a double cause of the green monster and there is barely even a wall in right field just a short little green fence so its extremely easy to hit home runs to right.

I agree. I always thought that green monster was an easy double as long as you hit it, and even home runs seem to go over it pretty easily.

I wish I could tell you what happened to Bay. People will say the bigger dimensions got to him at Citi but they moved the walls in this year and when he's played so far this season, he's still looked garbage. He's not even getting good at bats, he's putting out Ike like performances. He's not working the count nor is he putting good swings on the ball. The only thing that's impressed me about Bay is his defense is a lot better than what people gave him credit for before he signed here. He plays a very sold left field as opposed to the detriment I thought he'd be when signing here.

I'd seriously go the route of Castillo and Perez next year with him if he shows no sign of improvement.

I have two tickets for today's Yankees/Mets game. Terrace Outfield 305. Anyone want them?

Wright makes a throwing error followed up by a Yankee Stadium home run to cut the Mets lead to one. I know both teams have to hit in that park but those dimensions irk the **** out of me.

This games over. Sadly, predictable.

We've played some awful baseball over the past week.

Fundamentals are killing this team. This is the 2nd game in the past week that has been lost by not making fundamental defensive plays.

And as you say this they do it again and REALLY lose the game.

Pathetic. The only good player on this team right now is Wright, everybody else has been awful recently.

You guys like Parnell? He reminds me of Bard on the Red Sox.

Parnell's one of the few solid relievers we have. He's also the unluckiest pitcher not named Johan Santana we have because whenever he comes in to pitch, the 7 players behind him decide to **** the bed defensively.

Yankees were handed this one. Doubt this team gets anything going in the 9th.

Gotta hope Duda gets one up in the air because I don't have much faith in the rest of the order.
