LD - Vlasic, Stuart, Murray
RD - Burns, Boyle, Braun, Demers
When Vlasic is your best offensive LD, that is a huge problem.

Awesome move by DW. Swoops in to talk before you can talk. Guess this is why he cancelled his radio spot the other day.

Vlasic and Burns is our top pair, we're gonna have a bad time.

That would be a really expensive 6/5 dman. Might me beneficial to trade him to a team trying to reach the floor.

Is this the first time Wilson has worked with Detroit in a trade?

Why... Vlasic was promoted to babysit Boyle when Murray failed to do so. I think that pairing has a ton of potential.

When Blake and Vlasic was the Sharks top pairing it worked extremely well.

He wants to sign here because his family lives in the bay area, if we waited until then to talk to him someone else could offer him more. Just because he expressed interest in signing here does not mean he wouldn't turn down more money for a little more commute to see his family.

Vlasic has a bum knee and Burns can't see it seems. Might need Contacts.

LOL... Vlasic did quite a bit of scoring with Burns. I know its shocking but Vlasic can move the puck. It isn't unheard of it has happened before.

Although Burns still finds himself having to flail wildly back into position he has greatly improved.

A recreation of Vlasic and a faster Blake is what the Sharks were hoping for when they acquired Burns.

It's his family. I can't think of a bigger leverage point a team could have. I will rip DW so hard if he overpays again and gives Stuart a bad contract.

the Sharks will probably get about 110-120 points from their top 4 group, which will be a lot more than most teams will ever dream about.

Still an upgrade on Murray if Douglas is traded.

Great another washed up defenseman. He's probably better than Murray though so if they can trade Murray, I guess it'll be okay.

not only would we be in a war with LA and Anahiem, as he said he wanta to move closer to home, but if we traded a dman at the draft, stuart has more leverage to get say 3.25/year instead of the 2.75/year id give him.

it also means DW knows he can trade a dman without the oh i think stuart will sign here, so murray can dealt. DW will be 100% certain whether stuart will be here.

and its only a 7th, its not a 2nd or 3rd.

Generally, you can get a discount off the July 1 UFA price if you trade for someone's rights and come to some agreement. For a guy that wants to play here and an organization taking a step to ensure that, it can give Stuart an indication that taking less with an NMC would be the way to go. And that kind of thing is tough to get any UFA to do during the sweepstakes even with preferred destinations.

Still a good 4th guy on defense, maybe will play better in Sj than he did the past few years due to his family. Enjoyed him a lot in Detroit.

And throwing Marleau on a line with Clowe and Couture makes that line incredibly fast?

You need more balance to win at this level, especially since we have zero luck when it comes to guys getting injured in the playoffs.

Stuart says he learned a lot from playing with Lidstrom, he can pass it along to younger players today: "setting an example". #sjsharks

Stuart's heart was in San Jose all year and this was by far his worst in Detroit. Being near his family could bring back what he provided the wings in 2008 and 2009 however maybe.

What do you sharks fans think about Andrew Murray, I see he actually played about half the season last year? Just a plug, or can he hit or PK or anything?
