My brother found a needle in a haystack yesterday.

When I was younger, my favorite Flyer was Pat Falloon. I was around 11 or 12 when he came to the team from SJ. I can't really explain why but I just liked the guy as a player. (Clearly I was young and delusional.)

I still have the jersey that I got around that time, which is signed by Falloon, among others. My brother called me yesterday and told me he hit the jackpot and had something for me.

My collection is now complete. I think this may solidify myself as the biggest Pat Falloon fan of all-time:

That's pretty sweet. I think memorabilia in general is cool, regardless if it's Eric Lindros or Fat Balloon.

Haha, that's pretty cool. I was actually a pretty big Pat Falloon fan back in the day. I had a Sharks jersey though, not Flyers. :-/

I agree. I almost gravitate toward the more obscure memorabilia because of the shock factor when people see them. One of my friends has already asked me why anyone would ever want a signed picture of Falloon. I would gladly fill a room with signed pictures of lesser known Flyers.

Ok but do you have an autograph from Jeff Lank? Didn't think so.

On a similar note, my brother has loved Tyler Arnason when he was a Blackhawk. I bought him a Blackhawks puck signed by Arnason for Christmas one year. It's more difficult than you'd think tracking one of those things down.

I've got a signed Janne Niinimaa jersey, so I know exactly where you're coming from.

I think Niinimaa actually made an all-star team at one point. He wasn't terrible. He may have played a lot longer in the NHL had it not been for the lockout. He played for Finland a few times in world competition too.

I have game worn and signed Todd Fedoruk socks. I contemplated playing in them once.

Fat Balloon!

What a waste of an acquisition although I still think one of the worst was Gilbert Dionne but Brendl was pretty sad too...

He had a great rookie year and then got traded for Dan McGillis. He had a few good years in Edmonton and then fell off a bit in Montreal later.

I was just referencing he is somewhat of a random player due to his short stint with the team.

Yeah Desjardins and LeClair make the Dionne acquisition look better but if I recall correctly Dionne got a lot of coverage b/c of his namesake and his flash. Too bad he was a flash in the pan. LeClair was like a throw in..had that good series that helped them win a cup but he was like Hartnell initially...fell down a lot. Montreal were dopes though...they never really recovered from that trade.

True..we salvaged something for that Lindros trade. Wish we had gotten more although Kim Johnsson was a nice pickup..too bad they gave up on him so early after his concussion. He played well for Minnie for a good amount of years....
