Should the call before it have been made? Yes. But there's no excuse for a play like that from bernier. Was damn near a charge.

i know it was a bad hit but the refs have to think before they call this a major and not a minor...will this not drastically impact the game?

You never ever ever ever give a 5 min major in a STANLEY CUP ELIMINATION GAME! Especially on that hit. Yes it was dirty, give a 2 and be done with it. 5 minutes? Really? What a joke! That said it's even worse that we got scored on 3 times. Should have only been one, Marty could have had the last two but he can't be blamed we were pinned in our zone for five ****ing minutes.
