DeBoer talked about not taking dumb penalties this morning. Penalty minutes: NJ 43. LA 0.

I hate when people use that lame argument.
I would be pissed if prust did that. You want passion? Start a fight, throw a big clean hit, or score a goal, like that.

Like someone else mentioned, that wasn't a hockey play.

It's still very much a game. Make up calls will come.

Kings need to play a serious 20 minutes.

Look, I can appreciate the effort to generate something. There's nothing to lose at this point. Maybe he sparks something, maybe the puck goes in and you don't get a penalty. It doesn't change the fact that it's dirty and outside of the scope of a hockey play. I don't think it was an attempt to injure, just a play that deserves to be penalized.

Now you change it to Lundqvist getting run by Carter, you'd be leading the hunting party to claim his head.

Now they can play Kovalchuk for the entire 3rd period. You know sorta like that Bugs Bunny cartoon;

". 2nd. ". ". "
And so on.

Parise is just wanting this game to end so bad so he can take that hideous jersey off for the last time.

Also yeah, Carter went after a King and then jumped on Quick. He didn't even attempt to play the puck. He's a *******.

I don't know about you guys but Quick has looked really mediocre in this game. Making terrible decisions handling the puck, rebound control has been poor.

Hopefully the Kings can keep the puck in Jerseys end.

I agree, he's getting bailed out. He's made two really nice saves though.

They owe it to him, though.

I don't know, past couple games he has been taking himself out of winning the Conn Smythe. I had him penciled in for sure a couple games ago, now I am not so sure.

Nerves. Luongo showed at the Olympics that the best and most composed goalie does not always walk away the winner. He's probably trying to do too much, hence coming out way too far.

Carter + Richards + Stanley Cup = LA night clubs running out of alcohol.

Showing a ridiculously dirty play in a highlight reel of physical play.

Not cool.

I think it's pure incompetence as opposed to a conspiracy. Bernier call was a no-brainer. But they missed the Penner punch and Gionta boarding right after.
