I think he lost it and got adult fat. A Brodeur/Giguere amount of adult fat.

Don't think Tambo is that dumb......but the oilers did invite 5 prospects to town.......if they strongly feel that the top five are equal then I can see a move down to 5......TO will need to add more and I feel Yak is the #1 prospect with the next 4-5 being a slight downgrade.......but I can see the management team strongly considering it for the right package.....

If you're Toronto and you trade up to #1 do you take Nail or one of the centers?

I'm starting to wonder if Leafs fans actually watched their games and noticed which defensemen were on the ice for the tough minutes.

I would think if Toronto is wanting one of the centres they would try to trade to 2-4, no need to trade to #1 than not take the consensus projected 1st overall player.

3 is out of the question because Montreal sits there. Montreal also allegedly wants Galchenyuk, it could be interesting to see what happens if Montreal and Toronto are fighting to get the same player.

Burke wants both Yakupov and Galchenyuk... and I think he'd sell his soul to get them... I wouldn't count against him wrangling #1 out of the Oilers and somehow working a deal out with Columbus for the #2 pick.

Oilers seem amenable to taking Reinhart and he should be around at #5.. Columbus is desperate for roster pieces to get back to respectability NOW... prospects isn't really what they need. The environment is there for Burke to wheel and deal to get what he wants.

Trading for Schenn would be an absolute disaster.

This would be one of those "soft" offers we heard about.

That deal ****ing blows, Tambo wouldn't even be able to hang up before breaking out laughing.

Why would the Oil even do a trade with TO. Doesn't Burke hate us.

It is all fine and dandy wanting the top 2 picks but I don't see TO having what it takes to get both of them.

Lets say Schenn and 5th gets you the 2nd over all, now how do you get the 1st over all. The only player EDM would be interested in from TO would be Gardiner but you have nothing else to add to get the 1st.

I think it would take a massive overpayment from T.O to get our pick. Something like Gardiner, Kadri, and the 5th overall which Burke would never do anyways

Burke IMO is in hot water and needs to make a splash, I wouldn't be surprised if he made some less than bright moves TBH.

Kadri doesn't fit with the Oiler. Gardiner, Biggs, 5th overall, 35th overall for 1st overall and 32nd overall

The problem is that's NOT an over payment in any way.

If it came down to a trade and we ended up with Murray and Reinhart would you guys rather have that or stay put with Yakupov. I'm sure there would be other pieces involved.

I actually felt the Oilers would deal the pick soon after they won the lottery. I was all yahooing with the thought of Yakupov in the lineup (still am daydreaming about it) but I think the writing has been on the wall for a while that they want to trade that pick for multiple parts.

I'm down because we won't get Yakupov but nothing I can do as a fan. I just hope Yakupov doesn't become a 40+ goal man in TO... that would suck... but I'm betting that's where he ends up and that's what happens.
