Do you realize they did this with Kovalchuk severely injured?? How many teams have heart and depth to plug through 3 rounds without their best player in serviceable health???????
I'm so proud of this team, they came back from the Panthers series, rolled over the Flyers and defeated the Rangers(Brodeur outplayed the Rangers)
It hurts but it had to happen.
I'm happy to have witness 4 SCF, 2000,2001,2003,2012. I wasn't old enough for 1995, it hurts again but I had never thought back in October to see this team going to the Finals. A playoff berth would be my ideal season(as non homerism) but this playoff run was so much fun.
Thanks to all the Devils players,the Rock was so loud throughout the playoffs.
Very proud of how the Devils played in these playoffs when nobody else showed any respect. Been a Devils fan for 25+ years and won't stop now. Hope Marty comes back next year so I see him play one last time.

I spent the 2nd half of the season in Barcelona, so I watched countless games at 1am. I will never forget the Florida series, and seeing Henrique score just past 6am for me on the morning I was coming back home to New York. Goal was scored passed 6am, I left for the airport at 7am. The joy I had that morning.
Coming home, and realizing we had something special going with our dominance of Philly.
The Rangers series! Shutting up all critics, and being in the building for Game 6. I will never forget jumping around like a kid after the Henrique goal and enjoying the best victory in the Rock's history.
Finally the Cup. Obviously a result that none of us hoped for or envisioned. But we showed a hell of a lot of heart. To think we even pushed it to 6 is a testament to this teams character.
The boys deserve to hold their heads high tonight. A great character group, that deserved everything they worked for. LETS GO DEVILS!!
A great run for you guys. Only one other team made it so far. Disappointing, but its going to be a better offseason that a lot of teams' fans will have. Watchinh your hockey team play into June? Priceless.

they played there hearts out. Me and my buddy who watch almost every game together both had tears in our eyes, its amazing how you can get so attached to a team.
I hope whoever lives close to the airport goes and greets the team to give them a round of applause
