Much has already been written about the ex-Flyers on the Kings, including on this board, and more will be written, I'm sure, but I do. not. care.

Watching the guys, Gags taking the Cup 3rd and then Richie handing it to Carter, it felt just like old times. They could have been in their old home black jerseys in Philadelphia for all I cared. I'm just so happy for those guys, as well as Hexy and Stevens and everyone else out at Flyers West.

WOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

These are all guys that wanted to stay here. None of them asked for a trade and all of them were disappointed when they left. Good for them.

Seeing Gagne skate around with the cup really put a big smile on my face. Gagne was my favorite Flyer growing up, and hated to see him go to TB initially.

Seeing Richards and Carter lift the cup was more of a sore subject. Just the way they left and how this season turned out... While I'm happy for them, it still hurts man.

All 3 of them in my mind are Flyers for life. I just wish they won the cup in a year or two from now.

Let's hope we win the cup next year. It would be the best way to wipe away this bad joojoo from the trades.

Richards and Carter, good for them.

Seeing Gagne hoist the cup almost brought a tear to my eye, Ronny Hextall and John Stevens too.

Seeing Gagne lift the cup almost made me cry. In a french interview, he said the main reason why he kept playing despite his injuries and health was this trophy. So I guess he'll retire. It was a great career, one of my favorite players ever. I'm glad he finally got the chance to get it.

Seeing Gagne lift the cup felt great. Carter and Richards, bittersweet. But seeing Carter score the Cup winning goal, that one hurts.

I am happy for those guys. I am sick of the media in Philly acting like we are all suppose to hate them for some reason. Its not like they requested trades out of Philly, they wanted to stay.

I don't feel joy because the Kings won the cup though. Hopefully the Flyers can make a run at it next year because in the end thats the only team I care about winning the cup.

Happy for a few ex-Flyers.

... but let's be clear: They are not the Flyers.

As a fan, you did not win a Cup through osmosis.

I love it, Richards and Carter finally win the Cup as soon as they get out of Philly.

Gagne finally gets the Cup.

Last year the theme was, you want a Cup? Get shipped away by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This year, the theme is you want a Cup? Get shipped away by the Philadelphia Flyers.

This x 100000000.

Richie and Carts LOVED it in Philly. When Carts got traded, he was so depressed he didn't leave his house for two weeks. They were loyal 'til the end.

If anyone is feeling down, this should cheer you up (saw this on twitter, haven't double-checked for accuracy, though):

The LA Kings allowed as many goals in the playoffs as the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Should've won the Conn Smythe. That would have been so funny.

I can't be happy right now. It isn't the Flyers, I can't root for any other team to win it all. Good job by them, but I won't celebrate or enjoy this win. I can't, just can't. I want Giroux to lift it, not the kings. Not a hater either, just root exclusively for one team and one team only.

Exactly how I feel. I'm happy for the Kings but it still sucks seeing another team lift the cup.

Im a Flyers fan, that's it. I don't cheer for other teams.

Disillusioned
Bitter
Ill
Dejected
Jealous
Disheartened

They were all here.. we were within 1 game of the grand prize with them... then they moved along even though not a single one of them wanted to leave this organization... and now they have reached the promise land and left the Flyers in the dust.

It makes me feel like the team I follow is a tremendous failure. We are the Arsenal of the NHL. A competitive team every year who thinks they always have a chance, but at the end of the day we are just a feeder team to Cup winners. And Arsenal may be too generous a comparison because at least they won some league titles within the last 30 years
Ouch but this is the truth. We have now seen five players from the Phantoms 05 Calder Cup team go on to win a Stanley Cup. I'd say their philosophy needs to be questioned when they keep developing players that win elsewhere.

Congrats to Simon Gagne.

Well deserved. Hopefully he can now retire and take care of his health and family.

That is all.

Seeing Gagne raise it was great. Always loved him. Same for Richards. Definitely one of my favorite Flyers ever.

Still indifferent on Carter. Never particularly like him as a player, but never disliked him either. Glad to see him raise the cup since he has Flyers ties, but not pleased considering the way he left Columbus.
