everyone's finances are different

but I mean, if you have the tickets, and the Devils do win tonight...

This will be the next "bubble" for America.

College tuition is too expensive, and American salaries are coming down. And unemployment is AWFUL for people 22 - 24'ish, basically their principal is just growing.

Well, what we netted will only cover our playoff tix..and not completely by the time you take out stubhub fees and what it cost for that ticket. We were shooting for more, but will take what we got.

Agreed ... we will be there, but I can't kill anyone who cashes in. My 18-year old has plenty of time to pay me back and I owe my dad far more than I can ever repay.

But, to be fair, it's (relatively) easy for me to say and do ... my wife and I each have our own businesses which (knock on wood) are doing fine, no debts, and (best of all) everyone is healthy. I am sure there are sths out there whose circumstances have changed even in recent weeks and months (figure if they had issues much longer than that they wouldn't have had tix this year) and don't have the luxury to turn away this opportunity.

Our <30 unemployment numbers are better than Spain/Portugal's...not saying much at all, but it could be worse.

Also, I think you mean interest is growing, which means it will take longer for them to pay down the principal...slippery slope.

Unemployment for those 40plus is terrible too..We had the higher salaries so we were the first cut and its a lot harder for us to find similar salaried jobs. In 2003 the last time the Devils went to the finals I was making alot more than I am now, plus college is just around the corner and that expense is outrageous. We are actually thinking of moving to be eligible for in state tuition at my daughters first college choice.

Oh well. PAWP was fun as hell. Lucky as **** that I finally chose to commit to a ticket plan in one of our longest runs in awhile.

Partial ticket plan next year maybe for me....

I had six extra tickets lol..

based on the lowest SH prices for comparable seats, I woulda made at least $5,500 profit.

Ouch...but why did you have SIX extra seats? Unless you managed to buy them during the presale.

Yep, presale.

Had four of my own in 112 in PAWP and picked up some extras for 5 and 7 this round in hopes of cashing in and covering some of my plan's expenses.

Who cares though.

Until I read this

The non-call on Gio2.0 will forever be a Devils "what if" to me.

Well, at least I got to go to some epic games for really cheap thanks to the PAWP!

Sorry I dont feel for anyone trying to profit off of a potential game 7. Get in line with the scalpers

Didn't ask for your sympathy, but considering the amount of $$$ I laid out for every single game this entire postseason, I think I was allowed to try and make some of that back through one of the perks I bought into.

Especially considering I gave all of my presale tickets from the Flyers and Rangers round (4 per game, every game) to friends/people here at the exact price I paid for them. Only looked to sell SCF games 5 and 7 for profit.

Don't talk to me about laying out money and eating it

You have to realize how many STH's there are here, who have put up tons more and ate tons more, we don't want to hear about your failed risk and refund for your attempted reward.

You sound like a scalper, so **** off.

That's awesome. And I don't want to see you acting "holier than thou" because you're a STH.

I bought a package, one of the perks was the ability to buy more tickets. STH had the same perk. One STH on this board, at the very least, did so (CJ). There's no wrong in using a perk you purchased to fund your STH/package. In fact, that's one of the biggest reasons I would ever get full seasons.. the ability to potentially make back some of the money in deep runs.

And your edit was so ****ing nice. Really classy over there.

And yes, a ****ing scalper who sold 32 tickets this postseason (some of my own, others picked up in presale) to friends for the exact cost I paid for them.. even the ****ing PAWP price. But yea, **** me for the 2 tickets I sold for a $30 profit and the other 6 I was hoping to.

I only said I felt bad for cj cause she is a legit sth and could use the money if Tony's still looking for work. I don't oppose anyone selling tickets for profit on principle though (or even buying extra tickets for the purpose of selling them), but yeah some intentions are more genuine than others.

And I don't think anyone could make the case they didn't get their money's worth out of this postseason. 7-4 at home, rivalry games and Finals games that were worth much more on the secondary market than sth and PAWP prices.
