Simpson as forward?

A few people have recently told me Todd Simpson had played a few times as a winger earlier in his career.

Even though I really don't think he'll be given that role in Montreal, I was hoping someone here could confirm or deny this.

Thanks!

I cant say when or with which team but Simpson has definitely play at wings before.

It was states Simpson could be used there with the habs when a rough guy is need against bigger (but still fasts teams) where he'd be useful in the lineup but a liability at D. Of course with the injury of Bouillon, i dont think we are going to see Simpson play forward anytime soon so it's all pointless.

ok thanks!

i really don't think we'll see him on offense either... unless he's dressed as a Dmen and we injure a few forwards during a game...
then we would have Dandy or Simpson who can fill a spot.

i would prefer trying dandy in that case, Dansy was a decent foward earlier in his carrer. If simspson played a few games, he probably isn't as good as Dandy IMO

Well, he's a 3-4 minutes a game Forward... certainly not a good filler, hehe

I doubt whether Gainey would give him a 15 second shift at forward.

Todd Simpson described himself pretty good when he came here...

"I'm a stay-at-home defenseman, but sometimes my coaches wish that I'd just stay at home, period."

That was a hell of a funny quote right after being trade.
