NHL Schedule Released

Aaron Portzline@Aportzline
Full NHL schedule will be released at some point next week, probably Wednesday or Thursday

Wonder how many games in a row we will start on West...gotta be 6 at least.

Also wondering if they are building into schedule possible later starts to season if lockout happens.

MOD EDIT: Here is the schedule: http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyseason.htm?team=nyr

I doubt it. A lockout could end instantly, so you wouldn't want workers to start something without being able to finish.

I hope it's a long west coast trip, I have off October 21-28, I was planning on traveling wherever the Rangers are to see them. I've been saving up money, can't wait.

The realignment isn't happening for next season.

Is that confirmed? I hope so I'm not a fan at all of the new proposal?

They disallowed it a long time ago. I think the NHLPA opposed

I doubt the Rangers have a home game until November this year. First 9-10 on the road.

Rangers delayed the work this year staying in the playoffs till late May so I bet they try to squeeze an extra week or two to work on the garden in oct.

Surprised they would release the schedule so early considering the uncertainty of the Phoenix situation.

Believe it's out of the question for this coming season. It can be included as part of the new CBA, but that piece would more than likely be put into execution the following season.

Yup, there will be no realignment this season. That possibly could be worked into the new CBA...but this phoenix situation needs to be figured out first. According to what I have heard, its basically the NHL and Bettman forcing this situation, having to lend money to Jamison to buy the team from the NHL. Makes 0 sense. Just give the team to Quebec City.

They are not lending Jamison money and the team is absolutely positively not moving to Quebec. (If it moved it would be somewhere else)

In fact heard yesterday that there might be an early season Ranger game here.

Our first game will be against LA and we'll have to wait for the game to start so they can raise their banner -.-

Actually they are...he only has about 50 million dollars lined up and needs 150 for the deal to go through. So he is going to buy the team from the NHL using 100 million of the NHL's money. That is the only way this is going to happen. Jamison doenst have the cash.

Most likely will be playing there early on....I really hope we dont have to watch LA raise their banner.

I want Pittsburgh. Lots of them. Only 6? That's bunk. Take out some Isles games or something

Never actually been on hockey buzz in my life. This is what I have read on every article I have googled and from the Phoenix board here on HF.

If im so wrong, please tell me how and where Jamison is getting 150 mill from, and how regardless of the sale, everything still wont be in the red here.

Can't wait for the schedule to come out. One of my favorite parts of the offseason as I love figuring out stuff for the fall. Hopefully the schedule is actually used though.

Me too. The earlier I have dates, the earlier my fiance (by then wife) have taken a liking to Ranger road trips. Did Carolina 2 years ago and Tampa last year. Thinking St Louis this year but it depends when the games are and if we can get off work.

And what is your source that he has only $50MM? HF Business of Hockey Board?

Nothing of the sort has been reported in any credible source.

That's a bit early....it use to be released the day after mlb asg, the "slowest sports day" of the year
