Anybody else find it very fitting that Brown and Kopitar have the exact same stats in the playoff. 8g 12a +20, both ppg in the playoffs. I'm so proud of those 2.

This is easily my favorite pic from last night.

Seeing Bob lift the Cup brings my entire life of being a Kings fan full circle. He has deserved to lift the Cup for so many years. He has seen so many disappointments, that to see the Kings get hot at the exact right time and run the table - it just be very exciting for him.

Can't wait for Thursday!!

It all still seems surreal. Don't wake me up!

I said I would if we swept, still kinda want to though.

So proud of this team! I just want everyone to know.

That Bob Miller pic made some tears well up for me. I thought I was all done with that stuff last night.

I'm so happy for all the players and coaches - what a run of some of the best hockey I've ever seen in my life! Congratulations to the the entire Kings organization for becoming one of the best franchises in the league, for becoming champions and for making all us fans so proud and happy. We will never forget this. Thank you!!!

Officiating: Kings fan perspective.

Hey guys. Congrats on the win, the series turned out to be really fun! I was hoping for a game 7, but the twists were really exciting either way.

I have a question about the officiating & just wanted to get it from a Kings fan or neutral perspective. Did you guys think it was a little odd or excessive? I've never seen something like this personally in such an important game in SCF. It's not like this was Pens-Philly 1st round, there was no gooning by both teams.

Also, if your team were on the other end of it, what would you think?

Would love to hear opinions. Very curious. Thanks again!

Imo, missed call on Stoll, but the right call on Bernier.

Thought it was a little excessive in both directions. Didn't think the Penner hit was a penalty or the Mitchell hit last game that resulting in the Devils' first goal was a penalty. Thought Stoll dodged a bullet and should have been called, was forcibly the right call on Bernier. We've run into a lot of excessive officiating in the postseason, typically always on both sides, not a lot you can do other than hope the NHL sharpens it up. Definitely don't envy their jobs, it is the fastest and most action packed sport with long non-stop periods of gameplay, I would miss calls constantly if I were in their skates.

I agree, missed call on Stoll.

Bernier's call was an automatic: boarding with blood is an automatic five-minute major and a game misconduct (match penalty).

I had not seen undisciplined play all series long from NJ until last night...they were clearly frustrated at how the game was turning out. I was at the game so I couldn't see who the NJ player was who took a run at Quick.

Clarkson got a 10-minute misconduct that I did not see, so I cannot comment on it. I know some NJ fans weren't happy about it.

The linesman getting in the way of the NJ player in the second period, that happens man. I know NJ fans were emotional last night about it, but that's part of the game. I was amazed at some of the fans' reactions...like the guy really needed or wanted the ice head bump and the stick to the lips? That was one nasty cut.

I would have been okay with the calls if my team suffered them (and they did, this season and in the playoffs). I mean, high sticking with blood is an automatic 4-minute double minor and boarding with blood is an automatic 5-minute major. It's the way it is.

Been 20 some odd years for me.

All the sucky years are now in the past. McSorely is forgiven and we can enter this new era of success.

Now I even read these are the worst games the Kings have played. What game are some of you watching ? This is so typical for a fair weather fan, if you lose than it also means you are playing like crap. These people cant put things into perspective and start to whine about everything. I would say the last two games were much better than the first three games. Strangely enough, the result is different.

The Kings have hit a bunch of posts in the last two games. Its ridiculous. In game 4 they had a ton of chances (break aways etc) and in this game 5 they were by far the better team again. New Jersey are scoring on deflections, an empty netter, bonehead play by Quick etc etc. Yeah those goals will count, of course but that wont last long.

Alec Martinez even hit two posts on one shot. If the Kings keep playing like this they eventually will win one of the two remaining games.

Just relax.

I'm gone for two days, I will be back when Dustin is lifting the Stanley Cup.
Sorry if I offended anyone but I told you so.

I'm damn happy !!!!!!!!!!

I've been a Kings fan since late '80s but for real since 2002, so only 10 years of suckage for me.

Bandit and Sydor25 know more than anyone how awful my track record is at predictions, so at the beginning of each round I decided to cash in that "always wrong" karma:

For the most part i think the refs were just trying to let both teams play so ended up with some non calls on both sides. There are some non calls that seem frustrating on both sides and ones that you can't believe are not called on both sides. But if you go through the course of the year or one night on anyone's boards, the refs are out to get each team in the league.

Idk about out to get anyone. I'm not a tinfoil hat guy. Just some of the calls seemed excessive & harsh. A game like this should be played unless it becomes a goonfest. Even after things started heating up it still wasn't a goonfest

LoL, I seemed to really like the Kings in 6, voted that way for the last three rounds, the first one I didn't vote at all because I was too scared to make a prediction. Didn't want to be overconfident, but probably would have voted for the Kings in 6. Got my courage after we defeated the Canucks.
