Poor Petey. Maybe he'll comeback and tear up the playoffs like he did last time he took a season off. That is, if the Avs even make it.

He is a great player but I would think that he would want to play as much as possible. He needs to be in the best possible shape with the summer Olympics comming up soon. I know he is hoping to win gold in the diving events. He is the first sportsmen to train for his Olympic sport while playing an entirely different proffesional one.

Go for the gold peter!

And only the Avs dive, nobody else in the NHL does...

The report comes from an article in today's Denver Post. It's still a bit premature as to whether surgery will be requred, the Avs are pretty tight lipped when it comes to these things. I get the feeling Forsberg is hurt more than they let on. We shall see.
