Sens shopping Robin Lehner and eyeing Malcom Subban

Subban could definitely be available at #15, and Lehner is likely a top 3 goalie prospect (I dont consider Schneider and Bernier prospects anymore).

What could the Sens get for Lehner?
I'd assume they want a young Dman in return.

Other Sens that could be "shopped" and included in proposals: Foligno (RFA), Condra, Butler, Gonchar and Wiercioch
Anyone else is unlikely to be moved honestly

That'd be an odd move to say the least.

I'd rather just keep Lehner and wouldn't mind drafting Subban. Having more depth in goal is never a bad thing.

Knowing our luck with goaltenders, Lehner will probably end up being the better goalie if this happens.

I thought that said "shooting" for a second.

Wonder how far out Subban is projected to be. By shopping Lehner, that would indicate what, 2 years?

It does not say one thing about shopping a player, and does not even mention Lehner.

As a Leaf fan, I know how that feels.

Misleading title. It says they're looking at drafting a goalie, likely Subban, no mention of Lehner.

Highly disagree with the bolded.

Also seems to be a pretty weird deal, If you think Lehner is so good why would you move him for Subban??

It's been a rumor for a while that he's been "on the block" or whatever you want to call it. Didnt realize I had to make that connection as well, my bad.

teams that need a young goalie should go after Eddie Lack.
This kid is ready for a year of nhl backup duty. One of the best AHL goalies..still very young.
If the Canucks didnt have Luongo and Schneider..everyone would be talking about this kid. I bet he could be had for cheap too.
A smart GM would make a move for this guy.
Maybe Yzerman ?

Just because it doesnt say that in the single source i mentioned, doesnt mean im lying... geez

Ottawa is eyeing a goalie, and they already have 3. Lehner's name has been mentioned before in trade talks... 1+1=2 bud

That doesn't say they are shopping Lehner either. Look at the title of the article, written by big Brucie at that. 5 players that could be traded. Spezza could be traded, doesnt mean we are shopping him.

If we were to deal Kadri to Ottawa, I'd really like to be there to see Murrays face.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Article just says that Ottawa brought Subban in for testing. Teams tend to bring in a lot of players for testing and obviously can't draft everybody.

As others have mentioned there's literally nothing about the Sens shopping Lehner. And why would they, he won them an AHL championship and was MVP, why would you trade that?

Devils are more then likely forfeiting that pick due to the Kovulchuk fiasco.

Markstrom, Hackett and Lehner are probably the top 3... no?

Because they have Anderson (Who has been great) for 3 more years, and a solid, young backup in Bishop. If they draft Subban, they can let him develop for 3 years, and he's likely going to be a very good prospect by then.

Lehner wants playing time, and he wont get it for another 2 years, minimum. Swapping him for Subban and what is likely to be a good return (for Lehner) doesnt seem like a bad idea.

Even if the Devils weren't almost assuredly forfeiting that pick, that isn't a great proposal for last year's Calder winning goalie and MVP.

Nope.

Even if I liked Kadri (I don't), what would we need with another center? Who is he gonna beat for a top 6 spot? Turris. Clearly not. Spezza? ROFLMAO

And I think we can agree he is NOT suited for a bottom 6 role, so not a chance. And I don't want Lehner stoning us 6 times a year for 15 years or more.

...No, Lehner is good, and a legit winner, they should just take a swedish prospect, Chicago I believe is eying Subban hard.

SensChirp isn't a reliable source. He spues garbage rumors now of days to get hits.

He doesn't even mention Lehner in his article. Good rumor.
