Well, they didn't come in last, and they made the playoffs on the backs of a lot of players that will likely be there for quite a while, including the number 8 pick in last years draft, who looks like he could be a successful 15 year big leaguer, at least.....

Then again, they are always mad about something over there, didn't they boo Santa at an Eagles game?

Who feels worse today, Jack Johnson or Steve Bernier?

I believe JJ when he says he's turned the page. But this still has to sting.

Bernier. I think I have a finely-tuned sense of history, so when I say that Bernier's penalty is among the top-5 in-game blunders in the history of the NHL....

The most famous is "never get involved in a land war in Asia."

But only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Well, isn't this heartwarming:

"A lot of people doubted me," Carter said. "I proved them wrong."

There are some people who don't think he's a whiny quitter without integrity or honor. He proved them wrong, too.

No issues with this comment. Most likely referring to the Flyers.

Bernier for sure. Who's to say Kings would have won the Cup with Johnson being in the lineup.

If we win the Cup next year, I'll consider forgiving Carter.

Maybe.

Would have loved to see LA win it otherwise.

Congrats to the Kings. As some know I grew up going to the Forum in L.A. back in the 70's. I have to enjoy this a little bit. IF Carter doesn't leave we do not get JMFJ. I think he is the first real corner piece.

Ottawa is angry that he signed in KHL...
But this is good for him if he will play great in KHL.... he can choose the team if interest will be.

At no part has Filatov done anything great for his career. He made some money. Beyond that, he has been a total waste of ice time and I don't expect that to change anytime soon nor ever.

He has totally wasted his talent and the time of many people, both in the states and back in Russia.

If Ottawa is upset, it's more likely because they gave up a pick than him leaving for the KHL.

IMO he didnt sign in Ufa (btw one of the best KHL teams) for money because he has less salary than in the last season in KHL now. IMO there are the reasons:

1. He doesnt want to play in AHL and Ottaw would probably give him there.
2. Olympic games in Sochi and different acces from Bilyaledtinov when KHL players have similar chance like NHL players, NHL players arent prefering like in the last.
3. Possible lockout. The season wont probfbly begin in October.
4. Find his play. KHL is very good league I was pleasant shocked. Better than AHL.

To Ottawa. They drafted 3x in the first round in this draft, do you think that they was angry for third round pick? IMO they was angry that he signed in KHL and not in Sens.

He has great talent if he will understand his mistakes he will play in NHL maximum after OG, maybe after the next season. If he didnt understand... I see his career in dark colours.

... and than we will sign him and ended conspiracy against Ottawa...

Why did you quote my post? It had almost nothing to do with what you quoted.

Just to be clear, I don't care where Filatov plays or how much money he makes. I have less than no respect for him as a player. I don't care why he made the decisions he has made.

He is a waste of a NHL roster spot and he's not worthy of an AHL contract. He can rot in Russia for the duration of his career and I will not follow him.

For all your talk about him over the years he has not and continues to not earn your faith, yet you continue to support him. You also continue to seem to be eager to make excuses for him.

I wouldnt be so sure... if he plays hard so with his talent yes, because Bilyaledtinov dont see where a player plays but how, for example Popov and Perezhogin had whorse stats than many players in KHL and played on WV these players not... and played great, btw Hitch in April interview for Russians said that if he plays hard he wont be any problems. But I said it not for his nomination to repre.

But this... IF. The true is I begin to be very sceptical. We will see... but if he destroy his talent for his head....it will be sad.. he has the chance, minimum but has

Alexandr Medvedev wants "space league" (pardon, Pan-European league ) with 64 teams to improve European hockey. Interesting, but I would improve KHL the first, it is very good league, better than AHL and only stars miss it to be so good like NHL but... infrastructure etc.... it is enough problems for many teams.
