I thought he returned to burn off the last year of his contract.

When he's 27, he'll be a UFA and he'll a lot of bidders. He'll probably sign a contract in the KHL that takes into UFA status and then he'll sit back and watch the offers roll in.

A signed Radulov is essentially a no-risk, slam dunk top line forward-- even with "off ice issues." Those just don't go for 3rd round picks.
The issue that will likely surpress his value is the KHL thing. There are probably only a handful of teams Radulov would go to. Chances are, not all of them even want him.
Ultimately, Nashville may have to decide between a lowball offer or nothing as he goes back to KHL.

Despite his issues in Nashville. I would certainly offer him a contract to play in Vancouver. Put him with Kesler and Burrows to really make the league hate us.

It's over, he's going to the KHL now. He'll be back in the NHL when he's a group III so he can go wherever he wants. Sucks that Nashville couldn't get anything for him.

Sounds like this is indeed the case...

Radulov's KHL negotiating rights have been aquired by CSKA Moscow... http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...dulovs-rights/

Sounds like they will make a big offer, and they have deep pockets... It also sounds like they will make a pitch for Semin...

Earlier this year, CSKA Moscow already signed Alexander Radulov's older and ex-Blackhawk brother Igor...

Pretty obvious that if he was intending on going back to the KHL, they would have kept his rights then traded him once he committed for more value.

KHL is his 2nd choice at this point, IMO.

I thought he had one year left on his KHL deal. So CSKA gets that 1 year of playing,. it's not just his "rights".

I can not imagine, Radulov was not involved in process of tradining rights. Does not make sense. He wants to leave his previous club, so he is interesting in trading rights.

Nucks offer Raymonds rights and a 5th.

Raymond will fit in well with Nashville.

And canucks take a chance on Radulov.

Although I think he goes to a team in the east.

Radulov would fit in nicely with the third line. Or 1st. Maybe for PP to play with the Sedins.

Not our solution to the 2nd line though.

You would think he actually wanted to stay and play in NHL after joining Preds, who knows I guess.

I'm gonna take a wild guess, Jets. They have the cap to sign him and could use his goal scoring.

We do? At least Raymond backchecks.

Unless Radulov wants to sign for $2M as a 4th liner/PP specialist.

Are posts like these serious? Radulov can stand at the other blue line scratching his ___ the entire time the puck's in the defensive zone for all I care if he puts up the type of offense he's capable of.

Not that hard to put together a terrible looking compilation to rip into a guy. Just like YouTube highlight videos can make any player look like a stud.

Mixed feelings on this guy. Has the talent to put up a lot of points in the NHL, but seems like such a self centered *********.

Did you watch the video with "I hate Alexander Radulov" glasses?

Any non biased person could watch the video and wonder wtf Keith Jones is talking about.

The second clip is a great example, his dman passes the puck right to his skates and while hes trying to corral it a player comes up and pokes it away.

Radulov is a top 6 forward with tremendous skill. He's a big body and doesn't get knocked off easily. He can also create space for himself. He's more than a "4th liner/pp specialist"

I would take Rads overs Raymond any day of the week. He's obviously worth more, but considering the circumstances he will likely go for cheap or leave to the KHL. If I'm Nashville then I'd want something out of this ordeal.

If you put him in a line up with Higgins Schroeder Radulov that's a pretty good 3rd line. Maybe trade for Ott or sign Stoll.

Anyways if radulov is available I hope Gillis is interested. Money puck move IMO.

It's incredible to me how many people in this thread clearly didnt watch Radulov this year...

If he had committed to Nashville long-term, I would have had no problem signing him for 6 mil/year. He wasn't just our best forward, he made all of our other forwards look like 3rd liners. (to be fair, most of them are, but you get my point )

He was the first true 1st liner I think I've ever seen in Nashville. He can take over games. I know the attitude thing is a risk, but 2 million to be a 4th liner? Please. He is, if he wants to be, a true top line forward.
