He was still a decent player 2 years ago but the last two were not very good.

11-12 Moscow KHL 22 GP 1-5-6

Best I would offer is an invite to camp.

It's always the same debate when his name comes up. Some of us think there is no harm in sending a simple invitation to training camp and go from there. Not trying to figure out $$ or what line he would play on, just an invite.

Yes it would! Why in the world would the Current Habs want to invite a guy like that and infect a positive young group of players by laziness.

This. No harm in that. And if kovy can pull 40-50 pts in a limited role at what im sure would be a reasonable contract. Why not? Most likely done for though

Pushes a prospect down to the minors where he belongs to further his development.

If Kovy turns out to be good.. it's a real bonus.

If he turns out to be a liability.. even better.. draft pick city..
