So Kristo supposedly still looks tiny. Great. Good thing all that time in the NCAA is paying off!
He said one of the main reasons he's staying in college another year, other than to complete his degree, is to get bigger. Let's just hope he does get a little bigger!

I think the moment people heard the Ovechkin-lite comparison, is when he got overrated. He has amazing hands, but there's a reason he was drafted in the 4th round.

I bought into the hype, but i was always open to the reports that he sucked in Hamilton, i don't consider him a valid prospect anymore, now he can only surprise me.

This will definitely be a huge year for him with all the young forwards on the way. If he isn't producing they will quickly pass him.
People rapidly forget Avtsin was drafted the same year as Leblanc and is the same age. He made the AHL early because he's a Euro and it explains in good part why he struggled. He was not ready to turn pro.
Lets wait a few more years before calling him a complete bust. Its doubtful he turns out to be an awesome first or second liner but he could be a decent player eventually.

You are right, but at some point i think he would/will get back to Russia and get an easier time in the KHL / farm team.
Im not throwing the towel, but lets say that i had way too much hype when he decided to get here. Probably with the new Bulldogs he will have a nice learning curve.
Hopefully Gallagher has a camp like he did last year. Gona be hard to cut him if he repeats it all. I never seen this kid without a smile on his face.
Also first "Interview" with Patrick Holland. Hopefully this Cammy trades turns out similar to the Rivet one lol (Throw-in wise). Unfortunately, he closed his Twitter account. I suppose he wants to avoid distractions.

Get that skinny **** Leblanc a sammich and somethin heavy to lift up, and put back down a few times.
*sigh* Avtsin...what are you gonna do for us this year buddy? The clock is ticking.
Honestly, as long as he stays in the AHL and shows a willingness to adapt to the NA game and learn I will not give up hope on him. After all he's just 21 years old.
I do hope we see some more offence out of him, but he could be a late bloomer of sorts. I always hear about how skilled he is with the puck, you can't really teach that. Datsyuk won't be able to teach guys how to stick handle after he's retired just like Gretzky couldn't teach guys how to know exactly where to pass the puck and when.
Brendan Gallagher's dad is the conditioning coach on the Vancouver Giants.
I've never played any high level sports but I imagine conditioning coaches would in general be conditioning freaks, and I know that Brendan Gallagher has talked about how his dad instilled a great work ethic in him from a very early age.
I know it seems like we're all getting way too excited about all of these mid/late round prospects we think are going to set the world on fire...but I don't see how Gallagher isn't at the very least one of those 3rd liner guys who you can send out to kill lots of penalties and get some 2nd line PP duties in as well, who may have a few 20 goal, 45 point seasons but is closer to a 15-20 guy most seasons.
But a lot of stuff could happen, and he undoubtedly has the potential to be better than that.
