This man gets it.

I'm not mad at all, just wonder why you'd make yourself look a little silly by going after guys who want that kind of reaction. Take the high road instead of getting your feathers ruffled over the vocal minority.

It's not everyone and there are a lot of good people here that root for those teams, but it goes to show you that this stuff does exist and I can almost guarantee there are more on the Yanks/Giants side than the Mets/Jets side.

I personally don't care how you feel about Yankee fans, we have the most championships in the league and the best players to ever play baseball have played on this team, it goes way back. i am a Giant fan also but the reason why people root Giants/Yanks is because the Mets/Jets are joke organizations, you can't compare the Giants and Jets because Giants are lightyears ahead of them in management, superbowls, players, coaching, etc. Mets are pathetic and i hate them as much as i hate the Jets, if you don't like it then cry me a river bro.

Yes, you are. I am a Giants and Yankees fan and I don't feel the need to walk around with a superiority complex because my teams have had more success historically than the Mets and Jets. Little fun jabs between friends are fine but you sound like a sore winner. Take the high road.

Why are we even bothering with this argument?

We have arguably the best pitcher in the NL. Dubs is on a hall of fame pace again. Zack Wheeler is making his case for top 5 prospect in baseball.

We're dominating the Rays, which shows me that last week was very possibly just a fluke.

Things are going just fine in Mets land right now.

Yankees fans in this thread are usually very classy. Who cares about what one dude says? Let him embarrass himself.

+ 1000

I'll also add the Knicks are also a joke of franchise, but I have no choice but to root for them.
I like basketball and for a long time, they've been the only basketball team in NY.

The other sports you have options who you become a fan of.

Kirk having a monster game. He's broken out of his slump this series, too.

Good to see the offense bail out Johan right now.

Not home yet to watch, does Johan have his stuff today or does he just not have it again?

I just woke up for the 3rd so I missed it, too. He looked alright in the 4th, got out of it on like 5 pitches, but they were hitting his pitches hard.

edit- looks to me like Johan just has lousy stuff today. Can't get it over the plate and when he does guys are just hammering it.

Yikes. 3 innings to preserve a 4 run lead with the BP...plus Johan loaded the bases with no outs. This might get ugly.

AWESOME. Fantastic pitching by Rauch. Probably the most high leverage situation he's faced all season and he made light work of it. Gotta feel good for him.

Mets all of a sudden are on a roll -- Funny how streaks in baseball happen.

Hopefully the Yankees can beat Washington tonight too.

The Mets all season have found ways to string 4...5...6 games in a row, particularly after being swept or dropping 2-3 straight.

Very happy with what the team is doing right now.

Can I post fantasy stuff here?

I need a little help with my team, I'm in last place, 20+ games out and there's only 10 weeks or so left in the season. I need to start doing something. It's a keeper league as well. I need to make a move to get some offense but I really don't know who to trade.

C: Yadier Molina
1B: Mark Teixeira
2B: Dustin Pedroia
3B: Ryan Zimmerman
SS: Jed Lowrie
OF: Chris Young
OF: Austin Jackson
OF: Ichiro Suzuki
UTI: Rafael Furcal
BN: Troy Tulowitzki (DL)
DL: Carl Crawford
DL: Ryan Howard

SP: Stephen Strasburg
SP: Johan Santana
SP: Jake Peavy
SP: Jarrod Parker
SP: C.J. Wilson
SP: Josh Beckett
RP: Fernando Rodney
RP: Santiago Casilla
RP: Ryan Cook
RP: Tyler Clippard
RP: Aaron Crow

How can an infield of Molina, Tex, Pedroia, Zimmerman and Tulo be in last place?

When you get pitching the way the Yankees have gotten lately, and you get a homer almost every game, you're pretty much set right there

Love my Yankees.

and btw... to some conflict above: I am a diehard NYY fan and only do the superiority thing to troll and joke around, never to be an ass. I'm sure many Yankee fans don't do it to be mean
