Difference is Dudley probably quit, or they worked out a contract transfer agreement or something.
But yes, I'm pretty there's a clause in the contract of these coaches that if they accept a job somewhere else, they breach their contract and are no longer entitled to their salaries. Would be pretty dumb not to include such a clause especially when most coaches rarely get to live out their contracts.
