I don't think Calgary emphasizes the skating game quite like we do either. Next to Meszaros, Grossmann, or Bourdon, his lack of a physical game could be overlooked. He has size, and we could always use a more offensive Coburn even at 6.68m. Would I give up JVR? I'm not sure, but I'd be surprised as hell if Holmgren, failing Weber and Suter, did not kick any tired in Calgary.
He's gonna be up there a while, That whole team looked exhausted by April.

Then he probably needs to be playing harder. I don't care how tough you are, if you're playing D hard, you're gonna miss some games eventually.
JBou sucks in Calgary for whatever reason, but I think he'd fit into our system. He's an unreal skater and he's solid defensively but as Mike Peca said he's ridiculously soft and easy to play against. $7mil is a lot, and while Timonen is off the books next year we'd still be ****ed this year. Getting JBou would tie up $13mil in a Bouwmeester+Timonen pairing... and that is not how you win cups.
I wouldn't give up a top-6 forward for him unless it was Matt Read and Reader's contract makes me say no even to that. Unless we can get him for underpayment and snag Calgary's first too, I'll pass.
Without even looking at their salaries, I'd be willing to bet that is over the cap even without a 13th forward and 7th defenseman. If it isn't that would be sweet, but I'm pretty sure it is.
so weber to philly has been rumored before. and im thinking we make great trading partners personally.
im gonna throw a proposal out and id like you guys to be honest if its too steep or just right. phillly is my favorite team out east so id be thrilled with weber in philly if he wasn't in nashville. love hartnell and timonen.

to NSH:
courterier
vorachek
meszaros
2012 1st round pick
to PHI:
weber
radulov's rights
2012 3rd round pick
Swap Schenn for Couturier and I'd probably do it, though I'm not that high on Radulov.
To Nashville:
James vanRiemsdyk
Brayden Schenn
Andrej Meszaros
1st in 2012
2nd in 2013
To Philadelphia
Shea Weber
I would do about anything to get Weber, but that is an overpayment. That's similar to the Lindros deal, and as much as like Shea Weber, he is not a young Eric Lindros.
coots is the one guy yall would least want to trade, correct? (for good reason)
im really high on voracek so couterier isn't a must to me
Ya couturier is the perfect 2nd center behind Giroux. Voracek, Meszaros and a 1st for weber? Here im guessing schenn would needed to be added but with schenn back something on the nash side would need to be added. I know nashville loves them ypung defenders and i honestly thing erik gustafsson would thriveeee on the preds
Why would anyone want anything to do Radulov? First he bolts to KHL, then comes back, then gets suspended by his team in the playoffs. Sounds like just the kind of player you want to avoid with a ten foot pole. The talent is there for sure, but it was with Zherdev too...
The prospect of losing by far my two favorite Flyers in Couturier and Voracek for two of my favorite players league-wide in Nash and Weber will undoubtedly turn me into an emotional basket case within the next couple of weeks.
