I think you can get all Hamilton Bulldog games (maybe just home) for 100 bucks on their website.

I think.

Hopefully he'll grow into a solid nhl player. and then you can trade him to the b's
For Seguin

How is his attitude in general?

Lots of healthy competition in Hamilton next year for sure either way though.
I'll be happy if they do good. But I won't be disappointed if they don't. I'm sure the Habs will bring in some veteran help. After the hirings they've done in the past few weeks, it'd be a shame if there weren't any veteran skaters the youngans could look up to in a game situation.

Could be in the NHL or back on the farm:

Blake Geoffrion

Aaron Palushaj

Arriving:

Steve Quailer
Brendan Gallagher
Michael Bournival
Patrick Holland

Still under contract:

Alexander Avtsin
Alain Berger
Gabriel Dumont
Philippe Lefebvre
Joonas Nättinen
Ian Schultz

RFAs

Andrew Conboy
Hunter Bishop (Serious non-tender candidate)
Andreas Engqvist (Perhaps back to Sweden?)
Olivier Fortier (non-tender candidate)
Danny Massé (non-tender candidate)
Robert Slaney (Serious non-tender candidate)

Plus with such a young team adding a quality veteran is a must.
Assuming Geoffrion and one of Palushaj/Leblanc stick in the NHL:

Holland - Bournival - Gallagher
Avtsin - Dumont - Leblanc/Palushaj
Veteran UFA- Nättinen - Quailer
Conboy - Fortier - Schultz

Something like that looks pretty good. Not to mention the D:

Nash - St. Denis
Beaulieu - Ellis
Tinordi - Stejskal
Pateryn

M. Lefevre is going to have a hard time winning games with all the rookie pros the Habs are bringing in. Success in the AHL usually goes to teams stocked with veteran AHLers, not future NHLers. Sure we'll add a Willsie type or two, but basically I'm keeping my expectations moderate. A killer record is not really the measure of success, in terms of our prospects. If they were second/third year pros (like when Pleks and Higgins had major roles on a very good Dogs team, for instance) maybe, but when half your team is rookies, expectations need to be kept reasonable IMO.

Yes the ELC is based off the age when the player signs. Most NCAAers sign 2 year ELC's.

I'd be surprised if they did that, I don't recall the Habs ever sending a kid to the AHL in the playoffs as 18 year olds.

Not unless they improve their goaltending, a Mayer-Delmas duo will not be a powerhouse team.

I have a hard time ranking Quailer, he's tall but lanky, he's quick but passive, has decent hands but needs to get his nose dirty more. Plus injuries have been a problem for him, but i'm glad he's signed and look forward to seeing how he does with the Dogs or in the ECHL depending on how the rest of the roster shapes up.

yes CHLers can go to the AHL once their season is over, even though they are not AHL eligible (meaning 4 full seasons in the CHL or turning 20 before Jan 1st)

Yup, and it will need more than one Vet.

Picard who just won the Calder cup would be a good addition.

Why can't we send him to the team in Alaska in the ECHL?

They can definitely do that.

There's also absolutely no reason to believe Gomez would sulk, if he was sent to AHL.

Great news. Good potential this kid has. Sucks that he lost a year in development, a year he was supposed to learn the center position which I thought would have been great for him. Quailer is a big boy, but needs to realize it. Yet, he has some fine skills to go with that. Still remains to be seen about his ceiling. Great addition.

I know this is a new management and all, but they seriously have to wake up in that regard. You want your rookies to learn and have fun? Get a vet goalie for Hamilton? Keep Delmas and send Mayer in the ECHL. Or do whatever you want with him. But we need a vet goalie.

Hey we never know.....Lefebvre being in Hamilton now...what if Cédrick Desjardins comes back? Or even Yann Danis. David Leggio? Is LA interested in keeping Zatkoff? Is Lawson even out for us? How about Matt Climie? Or I reiterate my interest in Dany Sabourin. Anybody please...but there are possibilities much better than what we are having.

Just read that the Hawks waived Salak, i would love to see the Habs get him, would be a huge upgrade over Mayer. Really liked what I saw from Salak in the AHL.

Why not keep Lawson? He had a very good year behind half a team(the other half was hurt or in Montreal). Mayber's numbers improved significantly fdespite playing behind a weaker team....3.06 to 2.94 and .890 to .909.

How would that be the case, he had worst numbers playing for a better team?

If we pick him up from waivers, don't we have to play him in the NHL?

A rookie coach, as many as a possible three rookies on D & no clear cut #1 goaltender, I would reserve that thought for a couple of more seasons.

4 rookies will probably be on defence.

Beualieu, Tinordi, Ellis, Pateryn.
