I got to the parade pretty early and saw everything...but standing on the corner across the street from staples center thinking I was in the right spot but nobody was moving and then I realized its blocked off and I had to make my way around whatever street that was

I was close to that low hanging wire that was used to raise and lower that temporary bridge/thing right before they turned onto Chick Hearns Court. Some of the players made contact with the wire but they were able to get out of the way for the most part. A camera man at the back of one of the buses wasn't so lucky and got the camera and his head a little tangled up. For a split second, I thought he was going to get thrown from the bus.

The NHL network played Quick but they bleeped him. I suspect that he is uncomfortable with the MVP chants and stuff so he wanted to redirect the focus on the ****ing team.

Watching the replay of the rally, towards the end when the team poses together with the Cup, Justin Williams looks sooo hammered, and you see Jonathan Quick slide into the group with his loafers on. I love that these guys are toasted before the afternoon, haha.

What an amazing day! So happy I was able to make it to both the rally/parade. A day I will cherish forever.

I just watched the replay, and I'm not gonna lie, I got teary eyed when foxy started crying. You can tell he's just as big a fan of this team as we all are. He already had my respect before, but after seeing that, I love the guy. Was great seeing all the different people within the org. get emotional. Man I love this team!

Downtown LA (in the area along the parade route) is much more of a sprawl than, say, Manhattan or even downtown Chicago, where everything is stacked on top of each other. Southern California in general has much more wide open spaces. That's why the crowd looked sparse in certain areas along the route. Add to the fact that actually getting into downtown LA, with all the blockages for the parade itself, was like trying to walk into Mordor (something one simply does not do). And it was a Thursday early afternoon.

I commented to my wife that I wish they would have done the parade on a Saturday or Sunday - it would have been much more packed. But she started to point out how many people were standing in parking structures, or watching from their office windows, and it was clear how many damn people were down there. Initial estimates were 250k, but I'm sure it was more. My brother, who was staying downtown with his girlfriend, said rally tickets sold out in less then 10 minutes.

I was pretty pissed by the time I got inside for the rally, I thought Staples handled the ingress about as badly as it could get handled.*

But the rally made up for it. It was a great rally!

It was really quite revealing that Sutter got the biggest ovations (at least four, on my count). I think most fans feel the same as I do, that this guy was the "missing piece" to draw these players into a cohesive team and finally live up to our expectations (and beyond) as to their talent level and teamwork.

And the fans definitely recognized him for it. Those classic "Daryl fist pumps" got me going! (I think he was genuinely surprised at the love he was getting from the crowd the second time around.)

*Maybe they will do a better job next year, having had this experience.

Like any good goalie, he was bailing out his teammate. No one is really talking about Brown dropping the f-bomb on NBC anymore are they?

They said on NHL network last night there were about 200k people there. I don't know if that is exaggerated but that pales in comparison to Anaheim's 15k they got for their "BBQ".

I didnt get a chance to make it to LA Live plaza for the parade, so I watched it across from the Pantry. Was it just me or did it seem like the parade went by at about 25 MPH? It was done before I knew it. We tried to follow the parade but it got so congested that we just went to a bar and let the crowds calm down. The rally was pretty cool too, I wasnt going to go but my buddy gave me a ticket that morning. Now I need to catch up on all of the paperwork from the last two months.

The ducks "BBQ" was literally a weiner fest...courtesy of weinerschnitzels. Srs.

I think the panorama was from the LA Times? If that's what you mean.
