1. Do the draft shell game and come out with Galchenyuk, Grigorenko, or Forsberg.
2. Trade Pominville and Adam for Staal and Kennedy

Leino - Staal - Kennedy
Vanek - Hodgson - Tropp
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Gerbe - UFA - Kaleta

Sekera - Myers
Ehrhoff - Sulzer
Regehr - Leopold
Weber

Miller
Enroth

With a franchise center, McNabb, Armia, Pysyk, Brennan, and JGL in the pipeline.

-The franchise center becomes insurance if Ennis or Hodgson don't develop. Or, just increases trade possibilities.
-Armia eventually replaces Kennedy or Tropp
-McNabb, Pysyk, Brennan, JGL via for the spots left when Regehr and Sulzer are UFA, and if Weber is traded.

I'll take that going forward.

I'd rather get Ryan and cross are fingers for Parise (Thank you Drew Stafford).

Parise - Staal - Ryan
Vanek - Hodgson - Kennedy
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Gerbe - McClement - Kaleta

Sekera - Myers
Ehrhoff - Sulzer
Regehr - Leopold
Weber

Miller
Enroth

Leino, Leopold or Sekera,Weber - would have to be subtracted.

They could use Leino as salary dump to Colorado for the rights to Jay McClement, they need to add cash.

IMHO I would like to see another Year of Leino before I would consider my options of moving him but if his Contract gets in the way of improving the Roster over the Summer then by all means do what it takes to get rid of him.

I highly doubt we would be able to trade for both staal and ryan without losing more. But even if we could cap would be extremely tight with that roster and I highly doubt they give up on leino that quick. I must say though that roster looks like a stanley cup winner to me.

Except Parise has said he'd like to return to New Jersey. You can wish for Rashida Jones to give you your next lapdance too if you're wishing on a star.

That must be your first line in NHL2012 because that's not happening in real life short of three miracles.

The first statement of terrible trade partners couldn't be farther from the truth.
As a matter of fact, I'll go on to say that the Ducks and Swords do indeed, make a trade, either before or at the Draft.

I agree. I don't believe Staal is being targeted heavily by Regier.
I believe he is looking for a game changer at center, or, he'll settle for a Stoll type center, hoping to find chemistry within the ranks.

I do believe he'd like to improve scoring, at the presser.
That smacks of Bobby Ryan, since his name has been mentioned as movable.

That being said, I to, am looking at the cap. So many uncertain situations with the final number on the salary cap.

I think it is safe to say it would more likely look like this
Derek Roy
Drew Stafford or Armia
12th Overall

Anaheim has a cash issue... they arent trading Ryan to take on more salary (9.5 in salary is just dumb)
