Yeah OK, no one predicted Bryz would do better here than in PHX....LOL

Neal always had loads of potential. Even without Malkin he would have been a 65+ player this year at least. Malkin wasnt single handedly responsible for a 26 point increase-- Neal was just a better all around player this year than he's ever been.

I'm not talking about guys like that who are still developing. I'm more talking about guys like Dupuis or Zubrus (when he was with Ovechkin).

In the case of Nash, I'd expect about 80 points alongside Giroux. He's capable of about 70 on his own, so I think 80 is definitely a reasonable guess.

Personal statistics? No not many did...at least people who realize teams play different styles of hockey which hurt/benefit goaltenders.

stats are pretty much the same in the playoffs in Phoenix and Philly even with that all world defensive minded system in Phoenix.

I predicted more Wins, but nothing else to go up. Losing Pronger only made it more likely totals were bound to drop.

according to homer, no surgery needed...

Quote:
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren has confirmed that forward James van Riemsdyk does not need hip surgery, just rehab.

"After consultation with various doctors regarding James' hip injury, we have come to the conclusion that surgery is not necessary," Holmgren said in a statement. "We will treat James' hip with alternative therapies and non-surgical procedures. It is expected that James will be 100 percent well before training camp begins."

Flyers' Van Riemsdyk does not require hip surgery

More like Nashville's training camp....

I don't see the point of Nashville dealing their captain unless he refuses to play for them......weber isn't going anywhere unless a deal includes the house and some, Suter, I just feel Detroit is too obvious, idk we will see

I don't see Nashville trading Weber, and certainly not this early unless it's just a crazy offer. The longer it goes the more I think Suter either resigns in Nashville or goes to Detroit. I haven't heard anything that makes me think either one of them is coming here.

I have heard that Suter literally doesn't want to come here, via bleacher report

If Weber doesn't plan to play in Nashville past this season, there's not reason for the Preds to hang on to him this season and let him go for nothing in FA, when they could deal him for a truckload of goodies this offseason.

Great. I know what this means. He's going to have both hips, both elbows, and a shoulder surgically surgically replaced in August. Possibly an eyeball as well. Oh...and he's concussed.

I know he's known for rigorous offseason workouts...but the training staff can't be this incompetent...

(I've been proven wrong before.)

Unless asked the question like Parise was the other day, (NYR), I don't believe it unless he says it himself.

Isn't bleacherreport a site that anyone can just apply and write for?

If so, that's why it's on the banned domain list

Because it's a site that anybody can write for. People tend to use it as an "official" link, which clearly doesn't work...since anybody can sign up and voice their thoughts.

Does anyone else not feel entirely comfortable with the "no surgery" approach? My sense through most of last season (even before JVR suffered the other injuries, was that he had an underlying hip issue that needed to be addressed.

This just seems, odd.

That was my first reaction. I don't like not getting surgery, when the initial opinion was surgery. That usually leads to nagging injuries, or surgery at a far more inopportune time.

They haven't planned out this series of facades very well.

I bet Jvr has a virus in his hip/labrum.

He probably has what Emery had...that would be just typical for us. Emery left a pathogen and it's going to infect the whole team. Either that or McCrossin is the pathogen that needs to be terminated....

Oh boy....let me guess..they are going to use Boosh's old Slurpee machine and pour some concoction over his hip...um this guy's value just took a hit big time IMO...

I would think not needing surgery would increase his value IMO
