Heatley was 36 of 67 on faceoffs, for a win percentage of 53.7%. Only 3 players on the entire team did better than him: Warren Peters (255/465-54.8%), Chad Rau (35/65-53.8%), and Casey Wellman (6/9-66.7%).

Other than AHLers, he was by far the best faceoff man on the team. Cullen was next best of actual NHL players at 53.2% followed by Koivu at 52.3%.

Agreed that PMB and Granlund cant play on the same line. but i would switch brodziak and cullen to give that 3rd line a little more scoring potential, cullen and pmb played pretty well on the same line last year. what a great lineup that would be

I think they'll reserve judgement on Granlund and whether or not he can pick up Yeo hockey fast enough to center a line, whether or not he's comfortable, etc. Safe course would be to assume he plays wing, then shift things if he tests out alright at center in camp and preseason.

I doubt it's going to be Granlund's ability to pick up the speed of Yeo hockey that will prevent him from playing center. It will be his size.

I didn't mean to imply it was his intelligence that might be lacking--more about comfort level and dealing with a bunch of new things at once while playing faster-paced hockey. Keep the pressure off a bit until he gets settled in.

i wanna play...

Heatley - Koivu - Bouchard
Parise - Granlund - Latendresse
Larsson/Bulmer/Coyle/Zucker - Brodziak - Setoguchi
Powe - Cullen - Clutterbuck
Kassian

Suter - Brodin
Gilbert- Scandella
Falk/Stoner - Spurgeron

Backstom
Harding

hmm, suter makes our defense 1 billion times better. I don't how it could match up physically but it would definitely be one of the more mobile defenses in the league.

I doubt the offense shakes out like that but i like it anyways.

Well Parise's not signing here so we won't have to worry about it. Let's worry about who we send down when we sign Suter.
