E. Kane is a hot commodity, I think a mod should jump the gun and start a All Evander Kane proposals here thread before the whole forum is spammed with them.

We clearly have differing opinions on Kane's worth. 21 year old 30 goal guy with potential + no NTC = high price.

Antropov for Spezza. Antropov is taller. Hahaha.

I like Milan. But for Kane.

As a Kings fan, I'd give up 2-3 of VV/AMart/Clifford/Toffoli/Forbort/Hickey/Bernier/Jones etc etc...and first...though not sure they could do that before Cbus decides.

Forgot to add, sounds like Kane fits in perfectly with the rest of the "wet island" in LA.....

He's a good player has insane potential, that would suck for the jets if they don't get the right offer back.

Also I heard Pavelec considers “big money” deal with KHL.

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...deal-with-khl/

They haven't been back for 2 years and players are pulling this stuff on them.

Hmm, I 'm not saying it's terrible value I'm saying it's not going to happen IRL.

Maybe something around Staal or Anisimov++? If they shop him, of course.
The Rangers seem to be in on something all the time now.

Zibanejad and Michalek for Kane? I'd totally do that deal.

They are letting them pull this stuff, if they had started negotiating contracts with Kane and Pavs when the season ended.

Thats what I was thinking, Kings blew their load on Richards/Carter. Though VV is nice, is still a tier or 2 below Kane.

Well, I would be prepared to offer Duchene in some sort of deal, but if this were true and he doesnt plan on signing with Winnipeg, your basically just trading for his rights, so I think there would have to be a decent + to Kane for Duchene now.

Would Kane + Enstrom for Duchene + Barrie or Elliott be tempting?

Again, that trade is assuming Kane isnt signing in Winnipeg, if he is willing to sign, then I dont think he gets traded but he and Duchene are pretty close straight up.

Nothing to get worked up about, but it's HF so God knows that's what will happen. He's an RFA. If the Jets don't want to trade him, they don't have to. They have more power than he does in this situation. At worst he'll hold out until August or September and eventually will end up re-signing.

Not interested in Michalek as the main piece for Kane.

More like Zib and Cowen as a start.

Incorrect.

It's amusing you'd mention Heatley though considering he plays for the team that's closer.

2012 1st + Niederreiter + Okposo + 2013 1st (top 5 protected; becomes 2014 1st no restrictions)

Huge overpayment by the Isles IMO for an RFA Kane. Jets take it and run.

I was only somewhat kidding when I suggested a Winnipeg-Chicago package on the previous page.

Toews appeal to Winnipeg is obvious and needs no explanation.

Chicago gets:

Pavalec--the young, #1G they've been looking for.

Kane--a dynamic, top-end forward with 40-goal upside.

Burmistrov--an enigmatic but talented wing/center that could potential slot into a top-6 role.

The main issue, aside from the fact that Toews is probably unavailable for any return at all, is that Chicago already lacks a 2C, and this would leave them with, well, a bunch of really, really good wings:

Kane
Kane
Hossa
Sharp
Burmistrov

It would never happen, but at least it has the benefit of meeting some needs for both teams (albiet, while creating holes for each as well--e.g., who plays goal for the Jets; their already-thin top-6 gets thinner, etc.)
