Leblanc clearly wants to win a Stanley Cup whereas Kristo only seems interested in the Frozen Four. I doubt he ever laces them up for Montreal. That's just speculation on my part though.

yes let's fault the kid for wanting to get his degree and wanting to win the national title. As of now, his education is free because of his scholorship. If he were to leave the NCAA, sign with the habs and then get cut, he would have to pay if he wanted to finish his schooling. Saying he doesn't want to win the stanley cup is just grasping at straws to find a reason to bash him.
What kind of worthless, trumped up degree is Kristo getting anyways?
It's recreation and tourism studies. So, if he doesn't make the NHL, he can always fall back on running a kids' summer soccer program or directing a high-school re-creation of some historical battle.
Yeah, to me it really doesn't make sense to be staying at UND for another year. He's shown what he needs to show, he's learned what he needs to learn at that level. Staying there an extra year won't do him any good, even if it is "to win a championship."
If I were his dad I'd tell him to grow the **** up, sign a contract, and get to work if he really wants to do this whole "pro" thing.
I can't see any reason to stay in UND another year but a "last hoorah." If he bombs as a pro, he'll probably have to go back to school anyways, unless he gets picked up in the hockey community.

From what we can hear and read, Kristo is not ready for pro-hockey. Mentally and physically.
Leblanc already on main club. I hope Kristo develops but I wouldn't bet a cent on it. There is nothing at this point that indicates that he is a sure fire nhler. Good potential, but I doubt any hab fans out there that can predict when he will make the jump.
I think he would be a very risky pick for your keeper draft.

I highly doubt the reason he is returning is to finish his degree. He doesn't seem like the type.
Does Kristo have the potential of Toews? because they have similiar stats in WCHA.
Kristo: 2009: 41 games, 36 points; 2010: 34 games, 28 points; 2011: 42 games, 45 points
Toews: 2005: 42 games, 39 points; 2006: 34 games, 46 points.
It's close enough.

Both players upsides are as 2nd liners, unless Leblanc works really well in a complimentary role. Ultimately, Leblanc's absolute upside would be Jere Lehtinen (though probably a bit more geared towards playmaking), while Kristo... let's say Michael Ryder.
What do you think their annual point production will be once they reach the NHL?
Recreation and tourism studies? What is that? I mean, Leblanc left freaking Harvard, and Kristo is staying in the NCAA to get a recreation and tourism studies degree? That can EASILY be completed part time.
And regarding the comparisons: there are none: Leblanc played in the NHL already, did pretty decently considering his playing time and the muckers he played with most of the time, while Kristo is still playing against kids.
Et ce n'est pas le côté académique qui semble avoir guidé son choix car Kristo vient à peine de changer de programme universitaire.
Oh...soooo what is it then? The penultimate challenge of winning an NCAA championship? Really? Is that all? Is it because is girlfriend is studying at ND and he doesn't want to leave here there?

Probably.
His dream should be to win the Cup. This makes me think he's just really good at hockey and has taken that for granted. Leblanc thought studying was important too, yet when he was offered a contract and a faster route to the NHL, he took it. Kristo is PPG player in the NCAA, he has nothing to prove.
