I dreamt this about 2 weeks ago.

I was looking at a piece of paper, and there were 3 names on it.

Yakupov
Forsberg
Galchenyuk

The first two were crossed out.

By no means am I putting any merit into this, just mentioning it since its the "dream" edition lol.

My prediction is that if Yakupov falls to #3, boards crash before Montreal makes their pick and only starts to work after the Leafs pick.

Going through the NHL.com prospect cards, only Tom Wilson grew up a Habs fan.

Get it done, Marc.

So was Michael Matheson

Where is Tanner Pearson projected to go? I liked him at WHJC.

I think Matheson put Montreal AND Pittsburgh. So in other words, he's not a real fan.

I'm sorry but I disagree.

Tinordi was 6'5-6'6 207lbs when he was drafted. He was certainly not built like a tank at that time and he is not even there yet. Having destroyed the combine or not doesn't change that fact. Besides, Tinordi was drafted in 2010, not in 2009.

As for Reinhart, he is 6'4 206 lbs, so almost the same build as Tinordi in his draft year. So like the latter, he still has to fill up his frame. How is he a complete monster?

If the miracle of Murray and Forsberg going 1-2 happens, I really really hope this management isn't stupid enough to pass on Yakupov. Barring some overpayment by another team, they damn well better take him or I'll go nuts.

Still don't think he drops though.

Timmins likes to project, I think he is keeping quiet about Grigorenko and hinting towards Galchenyuk and Forsberg to throw off the competition.

That being said, either one of Yakupov, Grigs, Gally, Forsberg or Teravainen and I'm happy.
I've been saying this for a while now. It seems to me that Timmins has a history of commenting on players in a positive note which he doesn't take but remained quiet on the ones he has taken. Someone may be able to take issue with this but that's my impression of Timmins MO. He plays his cards close to the vest. I really think Grigs is the target here for Timmins. That said, I won't be disappointed if he goes with Gally or Forsberg.

To be fair, the Habs are usually not drafting in this position so keeping your picks secret is more valuable. Here there's a handful of players so close that I don't think giving a real opinion would change much.

It's still possible that all the Galchenyuk and Forsberg love is to throw people off, because Timmins might just enjoy doing that, but there's really no loss if he's just being honest.

True enough. But there's little question that Grigs is a top prospect despite the "bad press" he's been getting and I just find it interesting that Timmins, insofar as I am aware, has said zilch, zippo, nada, about this guy. Anyway, it's going to be an interesting draft for sure.

People will be pissed if Habs pick Grigs Personally if they do pick him then they see something we don't get to really see. Remember the pros get to see and talk to these kids much more than any board members here. We can only guess.

Quote:
7. Dalton Thrower, D, Saskatoon Blades
6', 185 pounds, Shoots: R
DoB: December 20th, 1993

A late addition to the 2012 Top Prospects Game in Kelowna, Thrower thrust himself into the limelight to some degree during a spirited bout with heavyweight Thomas Wilson of the Plymouth Whalers. Wilson, another highly-touted prospect, had earlier upended Thrower's Saskatoon Blades teammate Lukas Sutter.

As a 16-year-old, Thrower benefitted from the likes of Stefan Elliott (COL) and Duncan Siemens (COL), teammates in Saskatoon that have already been through the NHL Draft experience. In 66 games this past season, Thrower scored 18 goals and added 36 assists, while collecting 103 penalty minutes. His production has steadily increased over three seasons in Saskatoon.

While not considered among the WHL's top group of defensemen when the season got underway, Thrower progressed steadily in prospect rankings due to his solid physical play and offensive skills. The native of North Vancouver, British Columbia is likely to be back in Saskatoon next season, a huge bonus as the Blades will play host to the 2013 Memorial Cup
.
Wow looks like a solid 2nd rounder.

Solid D who scraps, shoots R, can ship in points. and an epic name.

Yeah, Grigorenko has had the least said about him of all the top forwards - which could be because he's the one Timmins is secretly focusing the most on and doesn't want the media to know, or he could genuinely not be interested. All I know is I can't wait, all the speculation is driving me crazy.

Teammate of Darren Dietz, so the scouts have seen him since last season. Lukas Sutter is also on the team.

I'm hoping this is the draft of high upside top 6 forwards with size for the Habs.

1. Grigs/Gal
2. Jankowski
2.b) Athanasiou

I'd love it. Then give me Houser in the 3rd.

Posted this in the last thread but I'll repeat it since it's the dream edition. I had a dream we drafted Reinhart 3rd overall. Woke up scared out of my mind.
