A brief google search turned this up about our Goal Song. If you scroll down, DJ Dave(apparently) is thinking of changing the goal song. He mentions Gold on the Ceiling as a possible idea.
Personally, although I don't mind our current goal song, it doesn't seem like it's very pumping. What kind of song would you like to have next year? Personally if it's something new-ish then I'd like More by Usher, or if we go with a classic then you can't go wrong with Eye of the Tiger.
One thing I do know is that once we have a good goal song we should keep it. I just don't think Electric Worry is that song.

There are quite a few hilarious proposals in the link I put up.
In response to the Blackhawks song getting under people's skin, someone suggested the song "I fink u freaky". I don't recommend listening to it.(And now everyone is going to go listen to it...)
Yes please get rid of "Vamanos, Vamonos"...I'll take "Gold on the Ceiling" over that any day of the week. Please no "Moves like Jagger" either...I'd rather take a ball peen hammer to my ears.

Don't understand what you mean by hilarious. I'm being cereal.
anything except green day or zombie nation would be preferred
a complete overhaul of the canucks in house atmosphere would be advisable... i feel sometimes with dj dave that the canucks are the only team trying to capture the teenage girl demographic... some metallica or acdc or anything with a bit of bite or aggression would be a massive improvement
i hope you guys are saying green day because you're superstitious and we were closest to the cup with it and not because you actually like it
I don't like Green Day, but we had a sick goal song. It was ours, and it just worked. Got me pumped after every goal. The current goal horn you can barely hear, and isn't good at all. DJDave caved on peer pressure from CDC'ers.
Besides, the GD goal song barely had any words in it, the beat that DJDave used is what make it sick.
as much as we like to rag on dj dave here i don't think there's much he could do. i mean compared to other cities, vancouver just doesn't have enough old white guys and frat boys to expect a positive response to a hard rock or heavy metal song. it's a city primarily geared towards urban music.

Vancouver is overflowing with old white guys. They're the only ones who can afford tickets. Look around at the home crowd sometime.
Don't particularly care about the goal song, though Electric Worry has grown on me. Just stop playing ****ing Top 40 music all the time during breaks!!

excuse me? rock may be dead but I find this hard to believe about Vancouver since I've been there last.

On last years thread about this I suggested we need to get more local since Vancouver has been the center for popular in music in Canada (that's not named Country) for some time.
I was thinking for a goal, or better, the start of a game:
Trooper's We're Hear for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)
(in this rainy old city, though they might be talking about Prince Rupert - of course it still fits).
on our penalty:
Jerry Doucette's, Mama Let Him Play
on their penalty
Too Bad by the late, great Doug Bennett of Doug and the Slugs

Raise A Little H* I've heard watching clips of NBA games - its gotten around a lot. I can't see a problem getting more Trooper.
Its all CanCon so the CRTC should love it. Green Day is overplayed at other rinks and Vamanos, Vamanos is just dumb. I'd expect a song like that in LA, Dallas or Florida.
They used to play all sorts of Canadian songs like April Wine IIRC. Don't see what the problem is now - seems like Bettman is calling the shots.
