The fact we didn't trade him to CBJ really shows how much this organization believes in Lindy. Don't know what the exact offers were, but I know we had a good offer from them.
That's a good point.
Also, from a draft picks perspective, glad to see NSH was able to replenish some of what was sacrificed during the TDL.

I'm sure poile didn't want to make life any easier for our most reliable victims... Especially since they turned down a really good offer for Nash
I'm thrilled but I hope to see Lindback on the cover of EA Sports someday. A really great guy with a great attitude. I know Rinne will miss him too. Love the return though. Some Shea Weber type must be lurking out there in the 2nd round for us.
Well, I will miss the announcers saying EVERY game that Nashville has the tallest tandem in the league! Good luck Anders! Hope you can show your talent in Tampa and be a #1 goalie!
Hey guys, just curious, since you guys have been closer to the situation then us all this time obviously, how much will his disease effect him being able to actually play say 50-60 games a year, or starting every game in a long playoff run?
I really think he has the size (duh) and the talent to be a top notch goalie, I just worry about his health situation with the demand of being a number 1.

I think Poile's already said they aren't planning to use Caron. I assume they'll just let him go without an offer.
I am happy for Lindback. He would just waste away backing up Pekka. I am also happy that @FakeLindback will now have Mickey, Donald And Hogwarts all less than 100 miles away. Should make for plenty of entertaining tweets.

If Magus Hellberg(6'5") beats out Jeremy Smith for the backup spot, we will be back to the tallest again
Can't be upset about this. When Peks signed his 7 year deal, the writing was on the wall. I'm thrilled we got 2 - 2nd's in this years draft. I wish Anders the very best of luck, he was fun to watch when we got to see him.
Hate to see Lindback go but he wasn't going to unseat Pekka. He can and will start in this league and I wish him well. I'm glad it's to an EC team and I hope he succeeds in Tampa. Got some good picks too.
Happy for Lindback getting the chance to compete for a starter job. Sad that he's leaving here though. Glad I don't have to hate him, he's a really great guy.
Hey guys, Lightning fan here. Both excited and a little nervous about this trade.
One question, how is Lindback at playing the puck? I'm not expecting a Brodeur, but it would be nice if we knew he didn't flub it like Roloson.
he isnt horrible with the puck but he isn't great either. I think he will get better with moving the puck when he sees more action and gets comfortable night in night out of bring an NHL goalie
Then Smith would be back in Milwaukee (with what player as a back-up?).
Atte Engren went back to Europe.
Has Pickard sufficiently rebounded that he can play AHL backup? I haven't seen what he's been up to lately (I've been busy setting fire to fools making crappy Nash proposals ).

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

I can't see Pickard anywhere, but Cincinnati next season if he is in the Predators system still. Jeremy Smith will likely remain in Milwaukee playing ahead of Hellberg and a veteran goalie will be signed to backup Rinne.
Can't see Poile allowing the team to enter the season with Smith to be one injury or illness away from being the No. 1 goaltender. He's continued to improve, but isn't ready to be a No. 1 in the NHL for any length of time and hasn't quite proven yet that he should be the No. 2 at the NHL level yet either...
