I hate Donald Fehr and Gary Bettman already for these not being played.

I have no basis for my opinion beyond the obvious bullet points one could spout off the top of your head, but I truly believe there will not be a lockout/strike.

Seriously, zero chance. Might be some haggling on the cap numbers, RFA rules, roster limits or number of contracts a team can have, but ultimately, not a single preseason game will be missed. Oh, and revenue sharing (biggie).

Can't wait for these. Two more opportunities to dust the Loafs up before the Winter Classic.

The Wings will win at home and lose at Toronto since it's a back to back the team travelling to Toronto will probably be prospects/depth guys.

When do they release the official regular season schedule? I need to plan my trip to Canada/Detroit

Want to see more teams...

I always enjoy the Leafs/Wings match up. That can stay...

But caps / pitts twice? BARF.

Well, if we sign Semin it could make for a nice storyline. But I agree - I don't really want to watch those games twice. I may try to get to the game at Pittsburgh, though.

At least half of these games (probably all) won't be played.

I have no idea. Maybe in a month or so. I've heard people are saying that there might be a work stoppage/Lockout over the new CBA so who knows when I'll get to watch game 1/82.

And when are the CBA negotiations supposed to start/end (hypothetically)?

I'm going to be pissed off if it's a lockout the year I decide to see a Wings game in person.

I'm pretty sure Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr hope to begin talks in the coming weeks. Yeah, I was also planning to attend a Wings game next season, during the march break. So I'm good just as long as the entire season isn't cancelled.
