My toilet exploded due to all this rain. About two inches of water, sewage, poop, pee and other shenanigans covered my bathroom floor. Not the thing I wanted to come home to after a long day of work.

Can someone that understands spoken French way better than myself explain this whole Awaille Kevin meme? I don't get it at all.

It's actually a bit of a discouraging thing. After 4 semesters of French classes, I was finally feeling like I could read and write reasonably well, although this whole thing made me realize I really can't understand someone speaking at all. I read French Canadiens blogs a lot to try to improve and I saw this on a bunch of them. It's also spread to Montreal Impact sites, as well as on signs of protesters in Montreal.

This is the original. The part that caught on is the few seconds after :43

It's even been made into a constant loop.

And here he is in all his fame at an Impact match.

I thought I was doing well with learning French until I saw this meme on French sites and I don't understand it at all. Now I feel like an idiot who needs Rosetta Stone ASAP.

Well, it's just a meme... My name being kevin and my father saying 'Awaille Kevin osti' when I was young made it so much funnier for me.

What does what he's saying even mean? I don't think I understand the word "awaille"...

I guess this evolving into a French discussion which I know belongs in the other thread, I am sorry I figured there'd be some hilarious reason what he said was so funny that this meme should belong in this thread.

Really? The fact that Google Translate didn't understand either made me feel a little bit better about it.

That feeling you get when you lose your wallet, call your bank to cancel all your cards, start cursing at your cute little cat even though he doesn't understand your language and then you find it under your car seat..

I just had it.

Metro Berri-UQAM then a short walk.

I played ball hockey there once. You have to go up the stairs to find the gym.

It's the last day to vote for French-Canadian Claude Giroux for the NHL cover vote. He's currently behind, so vote as much as you can if you have some free time. covervote.nhl.com

You know what I just realized, Pacioretty had more goals and assists than Rick Nash last year. I really, really like this guy.

[Official Thread] HABS tournament in Edmonton

Are there any Habs fans on HFboards that live in Edmonton?
If so, we should meet up and get to play street hockey together. A little tournament for us, MTL fans, that do not get to be at the Bell centre too often. What do u say?

List of interested :
1) dkdanielkli
2) capebretoncanadien
3) dapriceisright
4) BigTime
5) NotProkofievian
