Bob Miller 710 Repeat Conversation with Vin Scully

Bob Miller was on KSPN 710 earlier and Vin Scully called in to congratulate him, it was an amazing interview.

It's going to be repeated today at 4:30 p.m. on 710. More than worth it to listen to if you got a chance.

Very awesome. We've certainly been blessed with amazing broadcasters throughout the years. It's going to be fun to see Miller parade around with that ring.

Wow that was one of the best interviews I've ever heard! Having Vin call in was icing on the cake and you can tell how happy he is for Bob and the Kings.

That was super, super cool of Vin. We're so lucky to have such awesome broadcasters in L.A.

THREE HoF announcers we had all at the same time for a while; it really spoiled me. I've gotten so used to Bob and Vinny's voices over the games that I never really get used to other people calling them. Even Laker games after all these years, I still miss Chicky. Other announcers just sound... wrong somehow.

Also, I can't wait for Foxy to shove his ring into that dumba** Hayward's face :p What a tool that guy is.

Such interesting stories on this interview I'd never heard before. Around 23:00 in, Bob notes that after AEG bought the team he wasn't sure if he'd still be employed, and actually inquired to Phoenix about being their announcer as the Jets were moving to Phoenix that year... and how Leiweke heard about it and would have none of it. Great stuff.

Here's hour 2 with Bob as well:

I remember those rumors of Bob going to Phoenix back in the late 90s. This was when the future of the team was uncertain and there will all types of rumors, from the Kings moving to Las Vegas to their new arena being built in the parking lot of Hollywood Park (thank God that didn't happen!).
