I don't think it matters too much if this team doesn't learn how to play defense.

That is a long time to have a goalie locked up even if he is an above average goaltender. Mason would have to come back the other way also, which if I remember correctly the Flyers were trying to get before.
I wouldn't be surprised if he waived it to go to a non-traditional market, either.

I wouldn't worry. Somehow, I think it something was imminent, someone other than this guy would at least be hinting at it.

None of the Flyers beat writers, none of the Columbus beat writers, and none of the national hockey media types have said anything substantive about the Nash rumors recently, as far as I know.

If we get another season of that, you can bet that Hartnells numbers will be similar.
Thanks for loving it, Hartnell having a career high shooting percentage is a fact. Stats people have argued and proven that spikes in production identified by a shooting percentage signifcantly higher than their career average is not sustainable.

I didn't knock his talent, I knocked his future production based on trends of players in the age rage he's about to come in to.

There also may be a reason why his shooting % was higher. You don't always shoot from the same angle, the goalie is sometimes up, sometimes down, etc. Hartnell received some incredible feeds and just had to react to score.

Posts deleted were in reference to a completely fraudulent source. And since he isn't a source, it doesn't need to be discussed here.

Now, if we want, as hockey fans on the internet no different from anyone on twitter, feel free to discuss whether where Nash may or may not want to go, should he may or may not want to come here.

Well, how do YOU know he's fraudulent? Serious question. And what's the big deal with discussing/posting internet rumors? I don't get it.

Rumors have to come from legitimate sources on this website.

This was lost amongst the purged posts, but it seems relevant to the discussion...

According to the Columbus beat writer, the Flyers were not on Nash's list of approved teams in in February.

Quote:

Nucks not on Rick Nash's 'approved list', says Columbus writer Aaron Portzline. The five are: Leafs, Bruins, NYR, Sharks, Kings. #canucks
I couldn't find the original from Portzline, but Pap is a writer for the Vancouver Sun.

There are contradictory reports about whether that list has expanded or contracted--but my guess is, if Nash didn't want to come here in February, he doesn't want to now either...

^If that is the case, CBJ are likely going to be disappointed in the return for Nash. LA wont go crazy with an offer and the Bruins dont appear to be good trading partners with the Jackets. Unless Burke does something stupid, CBJ is going to have to settle for the best offer which may not be as good as they hope.

One of the theories in not trading Nash was the hope more teams would be in the mix, whether by his desire or new teams jumping in. Vancouver wanted to be in, but couldn't make it work in-season even if they were on the list.

I dont thinkCBJ is going to take a bunch of prospects/picks for Nash. Nash is their franchise forward. they arent going to give him away. Someone is going to pay for the haul CBJ is going to want.

IMO this is what it will take

top 6 forward
top prospect
top 4 defenseman
1st rounder, maybe more if the pick isnt that high.

All sources on HF must be a credible media source. I personally read sources I find to be credible, but wouldn't be allowed to discuss here, so it has nothing to do with me contrary to opinion of others.

If anyone finds further issue, they're welcome to discuss it with administrators.

So just to verify that "shocking update" didn't happen and isn't going to happen, right?

at the price, I'd rather have Parise than Nash

but either one would be great with G

..but I'd rather we go after Suter or Weber

Idk...im excited to see how this all plays out, thats for sure
