Its crazy....most of the 300s all the way around are torn down, and all the 10th floor suites are ripped apart. The ceiling and sides are all open so you can see so much natural light coming in. They are changing the whole structure of the roof since seats will be going up much higher. Looks really cool.

Of course the lobby and scoreboard will be completely changed by year 3, but the biggest overall change IMO is this year.

By the way, I know we asked this before, but does anyone have any update on where the TV camera's will be and where Sam and Joe will be broadcasting from? Looking at the seating chart, it seems like the only place they could be is the open space directly in front of Section 224. If that's the case, we would be looking at significantly lower camera angles for the MSG broadcast.
I would love to see those pictures if you don't mind posting them.

I've been hoping for more visual material of the renovations.

the more i look at the virtual venue the rangers sent us, the more their claim that the seats will be closer to the ice is a farce.

if you look at the blue seats, those seats are lower in height AND closer to the ice. in comparison to the old 400's, those who got relocated (i am in 213 and row 19) will be much higher up and much further from the ice. is anyone else able to see this or am i going crazy?

It's not new if you've seen the interactive 3-D tool, but here is what the upper bowl will look like next year:

Yeah, looking at the construction photos I wasn't so sure their promises of being closer to the ice was going to ring true. But now that I look at the images NYRangers88 has posted you can see that we will in fact be closer. They show that the first row of the upper level will be above where the walkway used to be. That's at least 6 feet further forward from where they were this season.

For those in the center 400's they will be but the corners are debatable since they hang over the 300's.

Yes the 3D seat viewer. It looks good this way. I wish they'd leave it like this. No bridges.

Yea I know..its going to be awesome like this. Im behind the goal in the only 400s blue seats remaining. Ill see how I like it compared to everything else, I might want to move in parts of the actual upper bowl, depending on where it is. Its only 3 bucks less then the regular upper bowl seats. I do like being right under the west balcony, its very convenient for food and beer, the only thing that sucks is going down to the 6th floor madison concourse to use the bathroom. But im assuming this year I will only have to walk down to the 8th floor.

Is it wrong to assume the 8th floor will be like the 6th in that the brand new concourse will have the same concessions as well as a store?

I was told that there's a concert on Oct. 23rd, so the renovations basically need to be "done" by then. For anyone trying to schedule a trip for the home opener, it obviously won't be any time before the 23rd.

Also was told they've run into a bit of an asbestos problem on the outer walls. More than they anticipated. Person telling me this is a supervisor for concession renovations. Told me they're about a week behind right now because of the asbestos. Said it's not affecting the work being done inside the arena though (as far as he knows).

Looks like the 400's are starting to be torn apart now in the latest shots.

Camera is a week behind. Don't know why that is, the only reason I can come up with is that when they put out updates on the site it makes it seem like they're putting out new info since the camera didn't reveal it yet.

One reason I can think of is maybe they don't want people to see a possible mistake. After a week, they probably know they didn't make any mistakes.

I would assume it would be something they would do now. They are building that part now..they could easily continually wrap around

The ribbon boards will also be put on both sides of the bridges in year 3. So I guess it will be a 360 degree wrap around, just not at the same height.

Yea but it looks much cooler and better when continually wrapped around at same height, like most of the arenas around the league.. example:prudential center
