Great handling, great power, gas mileage, inexpensive.

With just a tune (flash of the computer) you can have way more power too.
You forgot the part where he wanted good resale value.

Chevy is basically throwaway worthless on resale, for good reason.

There are usually no regrets when you buy a Honda, and Civic/CRV/Accord is the top of the heap.

In that case, get a Subaru WRX.

You can ask the moon for one of those, even with super high mileage.

Quick Question if anyone can help me out.

I am moving to Montreal in 2 weeks and am bringing a car. I was told today cannot get in to get a Quebec License Plate / License until October 1. The problem is I need these in order to get a parking pass for the street by my new place. Do I just go without a pass for an entire month +?

This must be fairly common with people moving and not being able to get parking pass right away? What do people do?

Thanks in advance.

I think I've voiced my opinion on mechanics and the auto industry in this thread but to summarize I don't trust most places.

With that said - I'm looking for a referral for an honest mechanic.

I don't mind if it's a work-from-home guy or garage.

Need to fix ball joints on Honda and general type of work.

If you or if someone you know is a good general mechanic that is honest and won't try to screw me, please Private message

Buying a used car, got it narrowed down to a 2010 Corolla XRS and a 2009 VW Rabbit 5 door. Both have similar mileages (70K vs 50K for rabbit) and are the same price. Which one would you go for?

Consider the XRS is AWD. While the Rabbit is FWD.. The rabbit is better looking, nicer in the interior(Basically.. Audi interior..) Less mileage for the Rabbit. VW cost's a **** load to repair.

Get the XRS.

Both cars are good. The good thing about VW's for the long term is they don't rust and the engines last forever. Toyota engines last a long time too.

Thanks for your replies guys.

So main reason for you guys is cost of repairs? That little rabbit is sexy as **** lol. XRS isn't bad looking imo though...

My friend who swears by VW says you gt what you pay for, and the reason repairs are more expensive is that the part quality is better.

Gas mileage is another thing the corolla has on the rabbit. I hope the corolla isnt considered a sport car though, I'm an under 25 male with a record, hopefully insurance won't bend me over.

I really don't know what to expect. Just moved back to the west island after living in Alberta and before that downtown mtl. I haven't had a car in 2 years.

tried it too before I bought mine, prefer mine though, especially getting an awesome discount. The sound of 416 hp, V8 also called "the beast" is music to my ears.

like your car too...

There's no Lexus owner that "should have" bought anything else. If precision had a sound it's what you would hear come out of the tailpipe of a Lexus. Best cars, best service in the industry.

I'm personally not crazy about Benz. Not in a performance, safety, etc... aspect. I just never got into them and I can imagine myself buying a Lexus before a MB even if it may be an inferior model.
