Not sure but that October date could be when the bids need to be filed.

This is how I see the Knights lineup for next year, excluding trades and Euro pick selection

Forwards

Broadhurst-Griffith-Domi
Horvat-Tierney-Anderson
Welychka-Rupert-Rupert
Athansiou-Elie-Jammes

spares/others
Macdonald-Platzer-Pawley
Elie-Seguin-Verboom
Cochrance-Wallace-Vuic
Taylor

Defense
Ferry-Raine
Harrington-Maata
Hughes-Liberati

spares
Delorenzo-Subban
Centorame-Garrow
Percy-Guiltinan
Alvestad-Hofford

Goalies
Houser-Herbst
Patterson

other
Wheaton-Hughes
Hodgins
I still think you'll see Athanasiou dealt before the season...just a hunch.

Verboom won't be an extra..he wasn't even at rookie camp.

Ferry will be back...but at forward..he won't be back on D..slot Centorame or DeLorenzo in there.

Also Owen MacDonald will compete for a top 12 spot...his play will make one of the 12 listed expendable.

That's how I see it.

Athanasiou and picks for a top pairing D?

Broadhurst, Domi, Griffith
Horvat, Tierney, Anderson
M Rupert, R Rupert, Welychka
Elie, Jammes, MacDonald

Trade, Harrington
Maatta, Hughes
Import, Raine

Or they stick with Ferry up front and MacDonald gets some Junior B time like the Ruperts and Welychka did in their 16 year old seasons. And maybe just trade the import pick to develop Liberati (95). Centorame and DeLorenzo also play B? Also, looking at those forwards, all of them could potentially return for the 2013/14 season. Broadhurst could be OA as could Griffith depending on what the NHL teams think of his all around game. Very deep team next year despite this year's losses.

They got to get that MacDonald kid slotted in with the Rupert brothers...the trio line of fun and games in a rink near you soon enough.

We all saw how much Gerard Gallant liked the Ruperts... 3 players like that would drive the OHL nuts and Branch and maybe make him resign...
