Can't ever please the peanut gallery....I've never once seen a positive comment from any Caps poster when one of these threads pops up.

I guess if you believe Orlov is a youth prospect still instead of a NHL player, you might be correct.
Quote:
If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL.
According to HF's own criteria Orlov is still considered a prospect...So yes, I would expect them to mention him in their article.

That's pretty beside the point. This article doesn't seem too bad, but every time I read one I notice a bunch of glaring problems. It always seems like the writers aren't as familiar with the team/its situation as they should be and it never seems like they've actually seen any of the prospects play at all. I think the backlash they get is probably exaggerated, but most of the articles seem pretty much useless to me.
This article is pretty short and unambitious, which probably helps limit the potential for errors. The only thing that really jumped out at me was the claim that Patrick Wey is a puck-moving defenseman, which just isn't true, along with the complete omission of Schilling. Edit: Also left out Flemming.
correct. no flemming, no schilling, no orlov and the result is the defense is rated F. makes it difficult to give much cred to their grading system when they do that
This is a draft analysis article, not a top to bottom, player by player rundown. Apparently difficult to grasp...
I'm not sure how that excuses factually incorrect statements and the complete omission of several prospects in giving the team's pool a grade. Patrick Wey is not a two-way puck-mover and if anything the "stay-at-home" Kundratek is the closest thing to one among the three prospects mentioned.
Interesting that you're a board-sponsor and are defending the site's obviously sub-standard (conservative assessment) coverage of the Capitals' prospects.
