WPG fans: Would you take Joe Pavelski+17th+ for Kane or something like that.

The Jets are relying on Postma to fill in the gap that Enstrom will leave should he not be willing to re-sign with the Jets. I would be very hesitant on dealing him away until something is sorted out on the Enstrom front.

It's not terrible but I really think that Winnipeg can take a trade all the way to the bank should a bidding war start. From everything I have seen, Chevy is a smart GM and will play this either way to the best possible outcome for the Jets.

That being said, I don't believe there is very much to this RUMOR.

I really like Postma but I would do this. I think Redmond is progressing enough we could probably afford to do it. Also Kulda is capable of playing on the bottom pairing now.

I'd give that strong consideration.

We were discussing this in our offseason thread. What would you want the+ to be? Murray? Demers? Braun?

So by transferance, how would you feel about Michalek+15th+?

Pavelski/Michalek - same age, similar contracts, very similar stats over the last 6 years with the slight edge to Pavelski (hence the higher pick from the Sens). I'd throw in Puempel as well. So essentially 3 first rounders.

Even though I want this, the big difference that gives San Jose's offer priority is that Pavelski is a center, which Winnipeg needs.

Would Grabner plus the Isles 2012 first round pick be enough?

NO to Kreider or McD
Why would you trade a 21 year old 41 point scoring defensemen and a 21 year old 51 pt scoring center for a 20 year old 57 point scoring winger? Yea, I realize that Kane is going to increase his production, but so should Stepan and Del Zotto.

Grabner had more goals than Evander did last year, was more of a threat on the ice, and already people are trying to get rid of him because it's for someone elses player.

Chaos.

Shall we compare their points from last year?

I don't know a lot about either of those 3 to be completely honest. Also I would prefer Couture for Kane straight up but I feel like that might be too lateral a move for you guys.

The value is there but I prefer the SJ deal mainly because of the position Pavelski plays.

Grabner could score 50 goals with his eyes closed in this league if he had any finishing ability .. and while he's 25, he's only been in the NHL for two years, one year removed from an electrifying rookie campaign... and when Grabner gets going, I take him over E. Kane. That's right, Grabner over Mr. Iginla. Get real. Islanders are not giving you a guy who gets 2 breakaways a night and a year removed from 36 goals for E. Kane, a young player who is living off a 50 point campaign. You know what that got Dubinksy? 4 million a year. No Ranger fan really believes Dubinsky is as good as they said he was last year, do they? No deal.

What would you guys think of Kane + 2012 2nd + Hainsey for JVR + Schenn or

Kane + 2012 1st for JVR + Schenn

Too much too little? We could also switch 1st rounders or something?

The value on that is probably fair, but I doubt the Flyers would do it.

Yeah, it would be too much of a lateral move. Murray is a hard-nosed defensive dman and is 32. He is one of the most feared hitters in the league. Braun and Demers are good young RHD Dmen with Top 4 upside.

WTH.... No from the jets perspective. Not even close.

Winnipeg will want to be picking in the 1st round this year, so I don't see their pick being available without a good 1st coming back in the deal.

Find this incredibly hard to believe. Jets have arguably the best (certainly the loudest) fanbase in the NHL to date. What player wouldn't love to play at home?

Players that love to play in cities where people really don't care about hockey.

It's all speculation but I think this is one of those that will stay speculation. I just can't see this kid moving.
