I'm not even sure the Kings need a top 6 LW. Penner said he wants to re-sign with LA, and is willing to take a reduced salary. Gagne also has a year left on his contract. And Brown is still signed. Assuming he re-signs, the depth chart looks like this on LW:
Brown
Penner
Gagne
King
Clifford
Richardson
Right wing might be a little more pressing, if anything:
Williams
Carter
Lewis
Nolan
Although I don't think Scuderi would be the trading piece to acquire that depth.
Even if Penner doesn't come back I think Gagne would be adequate on a line with Richards and Carter. If he doesn't work out then you can always make a move in-season.

This....... Would be curious to see Browns numbers last year as a LW vs RW
Why would the Kings trade Scuderi??? They'd make the same mistake that Pitts did in letting him go.
Mitchell is a beast but he's getting up there.
Warriors who can win (but aren't marquee players) shouldn't be dealt. IMO he's comparable to (or perhaps just a bit inferior to) the likes of Ken Daneyko, Beauchemin, Ward, Seidenberg etc.
The OP wanted a top 6 LW, and Bernier was a player deemed expendable.
Calgary needs youth/a replacement for Kipper and Glencross was on pace for 59 points this past season (which would have tied with Williams for 2nd on the Kings)

Just because he'd be tied with Williams in points, that makes him a top line player for us? Bernier will be packaged for a more superior talent, otherwise he gets dealt for a pick or something. Not to mention, Glencross is coming off his best season, at 48 points.

Never said he would be a top line player, but he fits the decription of "top-6 LW".
He played on Calgarys 2nd line last season.
You also have him for 3 more seasons on a very reasonable contract.
I am a diehard Kings fan and think it's fair offer...Scuds ain't getting younger. That said I have hard time beliving that Scuderi is availible as it seems like he is loved in the locker room.

If you want RW's, what about something around Setoguchi for Voynov?
Calgary could then move Kipper for more youth/parts for a rebuild.
No use in parting with glencross from a flames standpoint and I don't think LA would part with Bernier unless for a package.
Would about this idea? Unlikely cammy gets traded since we just acquired him last season but hypothetically;
To LA:
Cammalleri
To Calgary:
Loitkonov
Hickey
3rd Round pick
