What worries me the most with trading Sam to any team is that he is only 22 years old. He has got 40+ points in every year he has played. Gagner focused on his foot speed last summer and looked like a different player when he came back until he hurt his ankle.
I feel like he is one change in training or coaching or something from taking that next step to a consistent 60+ point player.
What can Dallas offer that would fit the oilers needs? top 4 D or bigger 2C
As an Oilers fan, my hope is that a number of teams start to covet Gagner and we get a mini bidding war that somehow results in Edmonton getting a second Top 10 pick and snagging Mikhail Grigorenko.

Really don't think that Gagner has top 10 pick value.

I like the Grigerenko idea as well. The only way I can see it happening is if Grigerenko is available at lets say 10-12 than the Oilers make the deal at the draft table.
If you guys wait to trade Gagner it could be a really good idea or a really bad idea, his value isn't what it could be if he really plays well next year, but then again.. as he gets older it will make his value go down. He has potential, he seems like a moderately fast center that has the skill level, maybe he does need a change of scenery.
What would be a fair trade for Dubinsky? Just remember this was just a down year only stats-wise. He was still playing his same game as prior years except he hasn't gotten any luck.

What worries me most is creating a hole that is going to put us into the lottery yet again. I hope the Oil have a plan for when/if they move Gagner.

If Gally is gone, then the Leafs take Grigo at 5 IMO.
I am a fan of Gagner and I got this strange feeling that Gagner will go on and have a career pts wise like Jason Arnot. For those no old enough to remember, the media ran him out of town for not being Messier

No but in all seriousness for the leafs, If the majority of scouts actually do believe that Grigs is not a top ten draftee anymore than it might not be a good idea for the leafs to draft for need rather than BPA.
