Out-performed several more "name" prospects at the WJCs.
I'll go out on a limb and say he'll make a bigger offensive impact than the more hyped Austin Watson.
he played well at the WJC, but was also asked to play a different role than our name prospects like Watson. But that is neither here nor there as each would be counted on to do different things here as Watson is a two-way forward and Cehlin would fall into the more skilled role. Maybe we get lucky and they both are good in a few years. In the meantime, the Admirals should be getting two good peices to watch grow and develop.
Somewhat off topic: Some of you old-timers may remember the poster Eriks. He was a big-time Admirals fan, and got the opportunity to see the Admirals win the Calder Cup in '04 from WBS. He's had some rough times over the years, and now he's lost his mom. She lost her battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday evening (May 27).
He hasn't posted on here in a while; I suspect he may have stopped when money started getting tight, or perhaps he lost his password. Whatever the case, please remember him and his family this week.

He sucked anyway. Made the team out of camp, was awful, was never called up again. Figured the writing was on the wall when Joonas Jarvinen was signed.
Yeah, he wasn't going to make it. It's sad, because you could tell he really wanted to be at this level, and he worked his ass off trying to get here, but sometimes (as I've learned the hard way) even giving everything you have isn't enough.
I think he'll do well for himself in Russia, though. Best of luck to him.
No more Lax-so-tive comments. He always played hard in Milwaukee. He scored 3 goals and 17 assists for 20 pts in 55 games with 74 PIMs and -2 this season.
Watson doesn't play Hartnell's power game, is better defensively, worse offensively. I'd say Watson's high end upside is Jordan Staal, low end is Vernon Fiddler, and middle-ground\most likely Jarrett Stoll.
Cehlin - even at his highest, i'm not comparing a decent 5th rounder to a likely hall of famer. Cehlin is essentially a speedier Sergei Kostitsyn. High end potential is Michael Grabner.
Latta- less skill than Comrie, more pest. I don't see him ever being a real scorer in the NHL. Similar ability set (not a character\personality comparison) to Sean Avery.
I don't get to watch these guys a lot, but from what I've heard, Watson will likely be Legwand 2.0, with a little less speed and a little more grit.
Cehlin is a tough one. Very fast, very small. SK is probably his ceiling, but I've been wrong before.
Latta is going to grind people to death. Bottom 6 forward, but he is gonna be the consumate predator.
Last time I saw Leggy in person, he had a bad knee and was booed in Milwaukee for skating up and down the middle of the ice like a push rod center. I assume that he is better now. Watson was here a year ago. He needs a season or two in Milwaukee.
Cehlin is a player that I haven't seen, so no report.
Latta matches the profile above. He isn't afraid to drop the gloves despite not being the biggest or strongest guy on the ice. He can chip in some goals, maybe 10 a year.
