I've got mixed feelings on Tampa picking up Lindback. If they are in a retooling mode, then why not bring up Tokarski who is essentially a half step behind Lindback. You give up a substantial amount in that package. Tokarski proved that he can be that guy to carry your team in the minors and someone you can mold into being a pro starter. Lindback is a quality goalie and I think you can get solid years out of him.

The Chris Stewart signing also makes a ton of sense to me. A 1 year contract to see if he can prove to St. Louis that last year was a fluke. If not, then you trade him and get something for him.

BB took another hit today when he lost out on another goalie as the Minnesota Wild resigned JH to a 3 year deal ( Financial terms were not disclosed). Where exactly does this leave the Buds? This makes rumours such as RL or OP becoming available the only options left for the Leafs?

damn, I was hoping he would enter in UFA status July 1. I actually think Steve Mason would be an interesting choice. I know he is coming off a very bad season, but he is an experienced young goalie that could bounce back in a defensive minded and tough Carlyle team.

Backstrom is in his last year of his deal and Harding wants to be the starter in Minny when that's over.

It's a career gamble, but he must really love the city and likely his family likes it there.
