Rangers trade:
Brandon Dubinsky
Artem Anisimov
28th overall pick

Stars trade:
Jamie Benn

If the value's not right, fix it.

Benn fits perfectly with Richards and Gaborik, the Stars apparently like Dubinsky, and Anisimov was supposedly who they wanted for Richards at the deadline a few years back.

Stars could also package #28 with #13 and move up in the 1st round.

Thoughts?

why...

how many times will it take before people get that Benn and Eriksson are untouchable?

Counter offer -

Wandell and a 2nd for Lundqvist.

No. Benn >>> Neal with the Stars.

Benn is the future of Dallas. He's not moving, I'm sick of these god awful proposals for him and Eriksson.

The Stars have no reason whatsoever to trade Benn. They'd be insane to let him go now, unless it's for an overpayment.

Damn, someone doesn't know value.

You'd have to package one of McDonagh/Staal + one of Stepan/Kreider + 28th overall... And that's just to get Nieuwendyk to pick up the phone.

Benn is arguably one of the most untouchable players in the league.

AA + 1st for Ribeiro and one our B+ prospects.

Otherwise lock this thread before we continue to chew you to bits for daring to include Jamie Benn in a terrible proposal.

IF the stars were willing to trade Benn he would pull in so much more than that offer.

I think need more vibrantly colored Os. e: Oh, and make them size 10 or something.

So in your bat****, extreme homer world where you know nothing about other team's players you scoff at a deal where you trade a young forward who is good for about 60 points a year for two young defensively excellent forwards who are good for 50 and 40 points respectively and a first? Massive overpayment by Rangers! No thanks. Keep him Sparky.

Based on what? Relax. He's a very good player. He's not Steven stamkos.

Wait until he scores 80+ points next year. He's good for so much more than 60 points.

I think that post is more homerism than mine tbh.

The Price might be there but the problem is, the stars see benn has a star and wouldn't part with him. If anything they would want to move ribeiro for more pieces like him.

No, he's not Steven Stamkos.

But he is a 22-year-old winger with size, skill and potential through the roof. He has hit 20 goals thrice, and topped 55 points twice, in his first three years in the NHL. He is the Stars' best player.

So, no, he isn't Stamkos and he isn't Malkin. But, to a Stars team that has very recently lost players of similar caliber in Brad Richards and James Neal, he means quite a bit.

Ya, let's trade the best player we have had in years for that package. Benn is going nowhere.

The owner of the Stars (Tom Gaglardi) even indicated that Benn was untouchable. He's the face of the franchise and at 22 years old, he's only going to keep improving. He's the future captain of this team.

As for the "James Neal was untouchable" comment, it is not even comparable. Different players, different situations. We have our PMD and our defensive prospects have been restocked.

Ott and Wandell for Staal or McDonagh

We need a Judge Judy soundboard on the board, I would pick: "That's bologna! It doesn't make sense!"
