Wideman is going to get disgustingly overpayed by a team that will overpay for his services.
agreed but if they move DZ they really need an offensive Dman.........sure say Schultz instead but little worried if he can just jump in. In the end if Wideman is overpriced and Schultz is the guy I love that too
We almost won the President's trophy with Boyle as our 3rd line center. Arty and Dubi played LW practically the whole year.
Boyle is a 3rd line center on a ton of NHL teams. Its hardly the sort of nightmare thing a lot of people here make it out to be.
I dont get how people dont realize Torts likes Boyle as a defensive C and Pker..........he will get his minutes. signing a 4th line C is more realistic with AA and/or Dubi on the wing..........One will be traded
Well I may in the minority here but I'd much rather have Nash than Ryan. I think we've seen the best Ryan has playing with Getzlaf and Perry. Not so with Nash. And I think Ryan is softer than Nash. Nevertheless, I'd take either one.
This could drive the price down for both players. This is because if for instance the Rangers make a deal for Ryan, that takes them out of the Nash bidding. That would hurt Columbus. Urgency could be very important.
I don't see Stepan going in either deal. Anisimov definitely available, Dubinsky probably and Hagelin possibly. The deal will be similar for both players.
Ranger Boy makes good points about Nash wanting San Jose but if he saw Thornton at the end of the season, he might have second thoughts. Joe's getting near the end of the line.
Nash clearly is the better player. Unfortunately when you take age and cap-hit into consideration, the value gap narrows considerably.
