Lol that's cool man, I mean by your logic, a 4th line plug is not worth the 1st overall pick because, hey, he's proven that he can play on the 4th line and Nail Yakupov still has oh so many doubts surrounding him.
Get real bud, this isn't a low 20's 1st round pick we're talking about here, IT'S THE 1ST OVERALL PICK. Over the last 40 years, how many of those have turned out to be busts? And how many of those have turned out to be fantastic hockey players? Sorry if I value the 1st overall pick more than Jordan Staal but, you know, so would every single GM in this league. Is Jordan Staal a great player? Absolutely. But Nail Yakupov is a can't miss type of prospect and if the oilers called asking for a straight up swap 1st for Staal, it would be a yes right away, and the pens would be laughing the whole way up to the podium
