Anisimov and Hagelin is quality. Just not "star" quality. Also, the 1st.
It's more in line with what we actually see than the crazy **** that is thrown around. Stepan/Miller/Dubinsky/1st for Ryan? Just way too much. You won't see that if Ryan is traded.

You need a centerpiece in a deal like this. End of story.

If Dubi hits his career average of 21 = +11
If Kreider pots 15 = +15
Tweaking: Get a 3RW that nets 15
That's a total of 40+ goals without trading key assets.
I always wanted Ryan instead of Nash, but at these feeding frenzy prices, it's not worth it.
I'm not great at math but I believe Dubi's avg is 17 goals per season.
I thought Kreider was off the table?
What are the Rangers giving up for the RW? If the Rangers trade for Nash could they still go after a 15 goal scorer?
Nash career average = 35 goals per. Will you see a pickup in his game with a new surrounding, better personnel, and a chance to play for a contender?
Stepan, I agree. I love Hagelin, obviously, but he would be moved for Ryan, IMO. He wouldn't be the breaking point, nor should he be. Otherwise, the team should obviously keep him.
You guys think that just because we like a player on a team that he is untouchable.
If Hagelin is the piece that's holding up a deal, as much as I love Hagelin, the guy is gone. It's as simple as that. It's much easier to find another Hagelin (we probably already have a better version developing in Fast) then it is to find another Ryan.

Depends on what is offered. Unless Anaheim can get a top notch shutdown defenseman in the Ryan trade, they'll explore adding offensive depth, which they need desperately. Players like Anisinov and Hagelin have more value than most think. They are cheap, productive, and young. Anaheim needs these types of players. Again, if they can get an Alzner type, they'll take that deal, but otherwise, they should be focused on adding depth.
I did and i understood youre whole plan. But youre discussing thonas starting on the 3rd line while gaborik is out; what evidence did you see this past year to suggest thomas could make the team out of camp. Very small frame who had a down year in the ohl, he needs a season in the ahl to adjust to playing with men.

In addition to his yearly push for more youth – next season possibly supplied by forward prospects J.T. Miller or Christian Thomas in addition to playoff sensation Chris Kreider – Tortorella wants to see an upgrade in scoring.
I think the king might be tired of trying to win 1g games since he entered the league. It's time this team got some real scoring to compliment our great goalie and defense.
it didnt work but something like Tyutin for Zherdev would be what I expect. Then sign some complimentary UFAs, maybe Whitney, Gaustad types
I'm fine with complimentary scorers. We make it to the ECF for the first time in years, get eliminated and now people wet the bed and think we need to go out and make a big splash with a trade. We lost because we didn't have scoring depth in our BOTTOM 6. Guys like Whitney and Jagr can fill that void. Those two can still play.
I wish we could add Gaustad or Stoll and have Rupp as the extra but that won't happen.
If you can find a team that wants to trade a top 6 winger for multiple forwards to fill out a roster then deal AA and Dubi for that guy. Then you can sign Gaustad/Stoll to play 3c or 4c and take important faceoffs.
See what you can get at the deadline. I still feel it will be MSL
The problem I have with ryan is hes never carried a line, hes always been with getzlaf and perry. Should we be forced to stick him with richards and gaborik to accomodate him, we'll be becoming a one line team

Agreed I feel bad for Hank, if he allows 2, he loses most of the time
