The Annie Edison Appreciation Thread got me watching Community for the first time since the second episode, so thank you for that.

Civ's my favorite video game franchise ever. I can't get into Civ V quite like I did with Civ IV but hopefully with G&K the diplomacy and culture will become on par with the combat system(which I prefer by a lot to the previous ones). I played Civ IV with some city-state(different kind), revolution, and dynamic civ mods (the Rise of Mankind mod contained all these iirc); they spoiled me to say the least.
Civ IV, by the end with the expansions and mods, was just about as close to perfect as possible. Civ V lost a lot of that soul and a ton of the refinement...but now it's hard for me to go back and play Civ IV just because of how much more I like the combat system (especially the hexagonal tiles and one unit per square standard...it makes ranged units actually meaningful and requires actual strategy instead of just piling up 20 units and having every late game turn last 20 minutes).
Gods & Kings is a definite huge leap forward for the game. It's still far from perfect...but I'm still going to sink way too much damn time into it.
On the downside it's now 10 in the morning and I'm ****ing exhausted, even with a full pot of coffee in my system.

I was never much of a fan of the Dead Guy Ale the only thing I've ever really loved from Rouge is there chocolate stout. Founders is a brewery I keep falling in love with more and more, I've tried a good variety from them but not a whole lot. Their Red Rye PA, Porter, Breakfast Stout, and Backwoods ******* are all pretty ****ing awesome.

I like Founders a lot. My favorite breweries, from what I've tried a decent collection of are probably Southern Tier, Dogfish Head, Avery, Full Sail, and Great Lakes (but that's biased because I live down the street from it). I like a variety from others as well.
I've made the Dean's List my first two semesters in college...yet no one will hire me for a part-time job this summer. Oh how I love life.
At least you're learning about the importance of making the dean's list during your first two years of college to potential employers & as a predictor of future monetary success (not a reliable one).
5 years ago, kids graduated college looking for a good job. Now kids graduate from college looking for A job.
Even though I have a good job now, I will still never help anyone over the age of 50 that isn't a blood relative. They left the economy in shambles for us. **** them.
I have a good job wage wise. Fulfillment, happiness, passion and all that other stuff...not there. Not even a minuscule amount.
Mine is definitely better than most. I'm the junior guy there, so **** still has to roll down hill, but I get more than 40% of my day doing stuff that isn't ***** work. I know I'm one of the lucky ones.
I wont bother giving you some line about things getting better. Things can always get worse. Much, much, worse. Drinking beer with buddies helps.

I would blame society, government and Colleges before I would blame any random person over 50. The need to go to college was some lie that was made up, and now kids are ruining their early lives with debt, stress, and anxiety over schooling, and colleges and banks are making billions off of it.
If no person had student loans right now the economy would be thriving. Instead no one buys anything because they have to worry about the 40k they paid for a diploma that got them a job thats no better than what people got 10 years ago without college.

QFT....and I'm a cop, supposedly one of our childhood dream jobs. But it blows dealing with our admins on most nights / dealing with everyone at their worst at pretty much all times.
I wanna be a kid again and just play outside and get dirty.

Gain experience. Any one can get a diploma.
Pretty solid advice.
And I don't know what I would do with an extra $800 a month in my pocket.
