Dalton Thrower at 33rd would be a steal for the Habs.

I'll do my part in getting us to 19.

I wouldn't draft Yakupov even if he fell to us, could bolt to Russia.

Very good point. We should take Gaunce at 3rd overall.

Can,t wait to see RDS coverage on Saturday. They'll have the "Who the heck is this guy" day or "How come the Habs don't take Charles Hudon" day.

In the first few rounds it would definitely be a problem.

No problem, if its in the 6th round.

Comparable players for Dalton Thrower? I see him mentioned a lot but I know nothing about him.

Bieksa always comes out. Robidas or Wiz could be good comparaison.

He's a fast skating offensive defencemen on the small side but you like to fight a lot. Imagine Y. Weber with the stature and the drive of R. White.

Quoi ?
On repêche un gars qui joue dans une ligue amateur du michigan avec MacKenzie MacEachern à la place d'un bon gars de chez nous comme Felix Girard !

Ugh don't remind me. Rounds 4 to 7 was the Jo Brunelle love fest. Every pick Gaston was getting redder and redder. Then he goes undrafted and we invite him to camp, he shows nothing, and Gaston goes silent.

The closer the draft gets, the less sure I am on the direction the Habs will take. I think there are 5 possible scenarios that play out. I've listed them below along with the player I think we'll take in each, and the likelihood (in percentage) that the scenario will play out:

35% chance - Habs draft Galchenyuk after the Oilers take Yakupov and the Blue Jackets take Murray

28% chance - Habs draft Forsberg after the Oilers take Yakupov and the Blue Jackets take Galchenyuk

22% chance - Habs draft Murray after the Oilers take Yakupov and the Blue Jackets take Galchenyuk

10% chance - Habs trade down from the 3rd pick to something lower (6th or 7th) after the Oilers take Yakupov and the Blue Jackets take Galchenyuk. We likely end up drafting Grigorenko in this scenario.

5% chance - Habs trade up to #1 and take Yakupov. No idea what the deal will look like.

Sounds like Dietz with more offense, although Dietz has good size.

Dude what I want to see is on TSN.. If they show the Habs draft party organised by the club, once the Habs make the pick at #3, more than half of the people will jump up going crazy, but they will have NO CLUE who he is

Le Canadien de Montreal est fier de selectionner.. The Montreal Canadiens are proud to select.. From Sarnia in the OHL, Alex Galchenyuk

**Goes on his phone and googles the guys name** Ahh good times ahead Friday

Better skater, better skills and more physical according to a western scout on the main board.

Almost identical stats over the past couple years. Both tough, hard nosed defensemen with decent offensive instincts. Right handed shots as well... I'd love to have Thrower and Dietz. You build from the back out, and I think he will be a solid d-man.
